Okay half, 1st quarter was great. Our defense is getting shredded in the pass game

It's because the pass rushers have to stay in lanes and keep contain. Their QB is more dangerous to us scrambling than he is throwing. The problem is anyone (even Barnett or Jantz) can throw a complete pass when they have all day to stand in the pocket. When their QB is completing passes, it's because he's got zero pressure on him.

Why do I get the feeling that this game could get out of hand in the 2nd half?

Because the only side of the ball for us that's doing anything is the Defense, and there's little hope the offense is going to do anything else. And the defense is starting to get tired.

I think the thing that disappoints me the most is the trouble we have capitalizing on the turnovers are defense makes. We should be spanking TCU at the half.

Nearly a 2-1 differential in time of possession. That has got to change in ISU's favor if we want any hope of winning this game.

Big opening drives for the 2nd half. Need to stop them, then make this a 2 possession game again. I hate being up only 6 due to a missed pat (again). Defense is fending them off, but how long can it last with the offense sustaining nothing and their receivers seeming to be getting open. Come on guys!

Pretty poor offensively besides the two big plays. Defense is holding up, but will eventually break from being out there too often. A running game was always going to be tough against TCU, but hopefully Mess will mix it up with more options, jet sweeps, etc. and move away from the zone read all the time.

Need some real offensive consistency. can't live on these big plays all day. Have we put our WRs in motion during other games as much as we have today? I like it.

Our offense seems totally dependent on QB play. We have some playmakers at WR and RB, but they just don't seem involved at all. Shontrelle gets a carry every couple of series, West gets one thrown to him every once in a while, but other than that it is all up to the QB. QB is arguably our weakest position on offense, yet in our system everything depends on him.

We have 4 first downs, they have 13. Also why dont we have defensive floppers that fake injury when our D is tired. Most teams do it, but we never do.
