TT only has only one conference loss that wasn't by 10+ points (9 pt loss to Oklahoma last game). We've been in every game we've played this year, conference-wise, so I don't think this game will be a problem either.

ISU - 68
TT - 59

Anybody else watching ESPN college Gameday? Is it just me or is it sort of awkward? When they aren't talking about the host school, the students in the background just stare and text in dead silence.

I have always thought college basketball gameday was weird. Its great to watch, but always awkward like this. I mean when you can here the constant ruffle of the pom-pom's...

They were in the oklahoma game til the end..deceiving score. And they kept up with baylor til the last 5 minutes of the game. Kansas is the only team to beat them convincingly at home. Their only home losses are against top ten teams. No reason to assume this will be an easy win, but I hope it is.

It's going to take at least 10 conference wins to get into the tournament (and possibly 11). Looking at our schedule, it would be difficult to get to 10 without this one, although that's not to say it's impossible. I guess it's not a must-win, but it's hard to imagine a tournament team losing this game.

Wins against these teams really are MUST wins. If lose to Texas Tech....well thats a ****** loss. Sorry to say.

That sounds cool...doesn't mean **** though. If we lose here, then beat texas and come back to upset kansas in hilton, will you still feel this way? It sounds good saying "this is a must win"..but I think we've already had a few "must wins" that we lost...so I'm confused...isn't the season already lost???

And what are the chances of us taking down Kansas? And the chances of us sweeping Texas? Probably not too good. So yes, this is a must win. You also have to understand that the committee will look at this if we are on the bubble for the Tourny.

I think we have a great shot at kansas at home..and after k-state we run through the soft part of our conference shedule..could easily get 5 out those next 6. We have several winnable games on the road. They are not all "must wins". Its a huge exaggeration. You don't literally believe it, do you?? At this point of the season, no single game is a "must win". Must win games are in the conference tourney when you're a 10 win team.

I would think everybody would agree with that statement. I don't understand how people don't think they are must wins. A loss to Texas Tech would be about as bad as the loss to UNI.

A loss at TT would definitely be a worse loss than UNI and it would be a worse loss than at Drake. At least if you go based off performance so far this year.

Having said that, this still isn't a must win. Its merely a should win game. To be a must win we would need to have no realistic shot of getting into the tourney with a loss. If we lose today we would then likely need to pull an upset on the road like KSU, Baylor, or Missouri.

It'll be tough. I wish Texas Tech had already won a game because you know that they will eventually.

Hope they come out ready to play. It would be nice to have a winning streak going into the Kansas game.

This. If you lay an egg today, you don't want the fans or more important, the players to think all is lost.

IF we lose today, all will not be lost.

Exactly. My definition of a "must win" game is if you lose that game, your season is over or your chances at a NCAA berth are over. Our chances at a NCAA berth won't be over if we lose today. They will be greatly diminished but not over. I don't want to go though the rest of the season with the fan base calling every game a "must win".

I get what you are saying, but I think we need to get to 10 or 11 conference wins to get to the dance, which means we probably need to win 2 of our next 3. Losing this game would make that hard, and most defiantly would be a setback. It does not end our season, but it the equivalent to getting dysentery on the Oregon Trail.
