I hope we play with confidence and class, enough with the pouting and finger pointing!!! We're still young, but I really think it's our time.:spinny:
I really hope we jump on them like we did TCU last year. Just gunning down the field from the start. I will get off Mess' case if he attacks deep early since their secondary blooooooooooows.
Least excited I've been for an Iowa State game since before we played Kansas away last year. hmmm.
That being said. even though it is a crappy matchup on paper and I'm not AS excited because of 1. Poor team records to start season. 2. Playing them for 3rd time in 361 days 3. Away game...still not being AS excited is still like 7 out of 10 on anyone else's excitement scale. I'll be good and drunk cheering/yelling every minute at the TV either way. :yes:

If I didn't have an exam at 8AM tomorrow morning, I'd be getting nice and drunk/loud along with ya. But no... I have to be somewhat responsible.
Tulsa beat Iowa State in the Liberty Bowl in large part by running for 317 yards. Trey Watts was named the game's MVP after rushing for 149 yards, and he is averaging 5.5 yards a carry this season. ''They had that look in their eye in the fourth quarter that they didn't want anymore. That's what you want as an offensive lineman. It was a huge win for us,'' Tulsa guard Jake Alexander said.

I was thinking this morning that usually the lesser conference teams are jacked to play us and we have everything to lose.
-They beat us last. Advantage us, revenge factor
-We are 0-2 and desperate for that first W. Advantage us.
-Injuries, they are missing keys, ours are supposedly back. Advantage us.

If this team has any guts, any pride, etc... they are going to show up and win tonight. This season is sitting on the edge of the cliff. A loss tonight and the fanbase is going into hibernation until basketball season starts. The idea that this program is making progress (upgrading facilities, upgrading recruiting, notching "big" wins, etc...) will die tonight with a loss.
