A lot of our players are pretty clearly high IQ guys in interviews. Lipsey, Gabe, Jaz, Watson and Holmes all sound pretty coach-like. Some years are better than others actually listening to those.

I think he has really enjoyed his yr at ISU

I feel like we are at worst a 5 which scares me because of the 5 12 upset history. If we win this tournament I think we go to a 4.

Outside chance that if they win this tournament Des Moines could become reality.
I think another top 10 win tomorrow against KU and we are lock for Des Moines. What would that be, 7 top ten wins???

Tomorrow is what's called playing with the house's money.

Lose to the overall #1 NCAA Tournament seed Kansas, and it's no big deal. Won't hurt our NCAA seeding a bit. Beat Kansas, Lord knows what that could do for our seeding as we already have the most top 10 wins and the most top 25 wins in the nation.

Of all the things you could tell me this team would do this year beating Baylor 3 times wouldn't have been near the top of my list.
I was pleasantly surprised as well, but maybe I should not have been. Despite their scoring talent, Baylor’s elite guards are not very big or physical (6’1”, 6’3”, 6’4”) . And they don’t have anywhere near the horses in the post that they used to. Put those factors together and they are vulnerable to physical, elite perimeter defenders and a stout post game, both of which are strengths for the Cyclones.

Anyone know of where I can find a replay of the game? Maybe mentioned earlier but it was advertised on espn 2. My luck. Just got home. Missed a good one.

Great team win today. 5 seed probably likely now. Awesome job by staff.

What was most encouraging today was the play of the younger guys/dudes who will be returning next year. Tre King was great. Tamin another incredible game. Watson was super active. Ward looked like he belongs.

Think about this group for next year:
Lipsey
Williams
(Transfer Scoring 2 Guard Type)
Milan
Watson
Omaha
Tre King
Jones
Ward

Supreme potential. Love it.

I understand your reasoning, but at the same time I don't think we can worry too much about things like that. We are going to be playing good teams starting in Round 1, whatever our seed is. IMO the only teams that can relax a bit are 1 and 2 seeds, but even then we've seen 15 seeds make it to two straight Sweet 16's the last couple of seasons. Got to bring your "A" game from Day One of the Big Dance.
