What did he do to extend the play? That was a throw that was only caught by a super play by an all American
he rolled into the throw... was it a scramble? no. was he sprinting? no. did he reverse field? but he moved his feet, kept his eyes down field and moved out of the pocket. Extending an play is not always a scramble and desperation heave. had he stayed in the pocket - one, that throw becomes a million times harder and 2, he likely gets sacked because at this point we'd get sacked in a 7 on 7 drill with our OL today.

its a small thing - yes. but he extended the play.

overall though I do agree. it was an amazing catch by Brock. There is no doubt Brock deserves way more praise than Dekkers for that play.... just saying. Dekkers sliding to the side and shuffling outside the pocket is extending the play, even if its not how one typically thinks of you extending the play (Ie a quarterback in full sprint mode eluding defenders) because again, a stationary quarterback likely can't even make a throw there that Hall can catch

It’s just too late, you can’t take half the game off and then decide it’s time to play. It’s too late.
I do tend to agree with this. I commented before that the team never quits and I respect that, but I agree that they also, for whatever reason, put themselves in that situation again and again.

Personally I think they are doing it to try to cause me to have a heart attack or a stroke. :D

Here we go: Potentially Purdy's last "big" drive in a Cyclone uniform. If this is the end, I've very much enjoyed the ride. Thanks, Brock. :(
