Huggins is super high energy on the halftime broadcast*. Hope he gets into TV when he retires.

*this was sarcasm
Who the hell’s idea was it to put him on camera? He’s half asleep.

Could they review that ball spike tantrum and give us T shots at the beginning of the 2nd half? How does that work?

The slamming of the ball may be that it was after the clock had expired. Not sure if that matters for the strict rules, but I could see that rationale.

And as far as the screens go, we certainly deserved some of not most of those calls (especially for Jones). But let's just see those called on Wisconsin as well.
You can get called for a technical before the game starts, so you can certainly get called for one after the halftime horn

You can get technicals during dead ball situations. You can even get technicals prior to tip-off during warm ups I believe.

Certainly you can. Dunking in warm ups used to be a technical. I'm just saying that I have no issue with the ref letting that go as it isn't affecting the game (like their other calls are).

The college game just has to get cleaned up....this constant grabbing and holding off the ball, illegal screens being a fundamental part of the offense, flopping, constant offensive fouls, the constant tape inside, it's killing the game

I think we missed 5 or 6 layups that half. Near the end we actually went to the rim 3 times, scored twice and went the line the other time. GO TO THE ******* HOOP!!!!

Yes, and if they ruled a technical, the free throws would come before the 2nd half starts since it was after the clock was at 0. Or at least that's how I think it works. I am by no means a basketball rules expert.

It didn't look like they called a technical, but we may not know for sure until the game resumes.

Agree. Hell, Iowa State isn't innocent either. But it just makes for ugly basketball so often nowadays.

Exactly! If that was the case where you were protected because it's halftime, players would basically go up to a ref and say "Go F yourself!"

BTW, flipping between HT and the Duke game and I came across the Baylor women's game. Baylor is getting smoked at the end of the 3rd. They may have actually had a worse weekend than Iowa, if that were possible.

Still optimistic that with switching sides we might get some calls in the 2nd. Or at least will be even the rest of the way...
