Thoughts for anyone who says Hepburn made the difference and repeating: I really think it sucked for him:
-he had zero points at that point.

-Hunter had snuck by him multiple times and just missed bunnies, and players with more length later were a problem.

-that was the first time ISU had been in severe foul trouble all season in the first half and they had to change their plans as well.

-any points by Davison after about the 15 minute mark in the 2nd half shouldn't have happened because he should have been out for either flagrant (elbows), technicals or fouling out.

Your point about Hunter is actually a positive for us because it’s the thing that will make him a four year player and he’ll learn to get around it like Monte did. MM hardly ever getting his shot blocked this season, happened constantly his first couple years with even taller players.

If he had another 3-4 inches of length he’s an easy first rounder.

No clue how he got big ten poty over Murray. I know people hate on Iowa but I watch a lot of their games w family and Murray is much better, drastically more efficient and less selfish w ball.

I don’t see Davis as somebody to get excited about at all as an nba fan.

Beth Mowins got all “moist” over LSU and Wisconsin throughout our games with them. Not sure why she has this disdain for the Cyclones but it was extremely evident. Well, water under the bridge, we don’t have to hear her Friday night..THANK GOD!

He was a poor man’s IB last night.
Low percentage shots, bad defense. Half his fts were not earned, just bad home court favors.

Doesn’t look athletic enough to start as an NBA wing.

Again outside of ISU and Iowa I watch more NBA ball. Murray strikes me as a non All Star but starter, Davis looked like he’d play role similar to Nader and looked physically small and weak compared to Nader. Although Nader’s career likely done now due to mounting injuries.

We don't fit the narrative of the bigger, better team and don't have departing NBA-worthy talent. We were picked to finish last in the Big 12 and all commentary, in their eyes, should justify that. In the two games we have played so far, it has been either about the firing of the LSU coach, or the "illustrious" career of Johnny Davis. Forget that the other team is defying any odds at all to be where they are today.

Yeah, best player on the team that won the most...but thinking he's not actually better than Murray. I was surprised how completely non-dangerous he seemed the entire game.

The only way his game scared me at all was that the refs seemed to have a giant boner to blow their whistle any time he got near the ball. He didn't look that dangerous making shots at all, one or two nice drives, made 4 shots hoisting nearly 20.

The year Ejim won MVP he was the best player even though we didn't win league.

How did Murray look in his tourney game? How did Murray and Davis perform head to head? How did Davis look before he lost his point guard? I don't know these answers.
Murray may have gotten less consideration because of Garza having just won it twice in a row

I thought the commentator (Antonelli) was fine. She knows way more basketball than 90+% of the posters in this forum. People need to knock it off with the Beth Mowins hate. She doesn't even work for Turner and she is an announcer, not a commentator.
