Luckily at half time I opened a bottle of rum and drank straight from the bottle then got a phone call from one of my best friends that moved away a year ago and was able to drown out the second half with rum and my phone call. The one positive to take away from the first two weeks is that Lazard is a total stud.

Lots of anger. I get it. Frustrating beyond belief to be in this position in 2016 when there was so much hope in 2011 and 2012. I'm not a guy that follows recruiting closely, but to those of you who were ringing the alarm bells during the wanig stages of the CPR era, you were right. We were not bringing in Power 5 players (maybe not even FBS). Unbelievable that a Midwest P5 school doesn't have a average O line at least. Campbell needs time.

Again, i think we all know that. i would like to see coaching improve.

I like how people think Park hasn't earned a right to play tonight. Lanning is a good kid but this **** isn't personal.

Things need shaken up and that includes the QB position.

There are too many Ankeny apologists. Guess what to those people, we don't care if Lanning is from your hometown we want the best guy in we can get and will NOT let the team be dragged down if he is not playing well.

What signs of good coaching have you seen in two games?

they did move the ball tonight, but penalties killed them, those things can be corrected.
Thought the O-line was better tonight. They set up Lanning to succeed more regularly this week than last. And they played a much better team this week.

As you and I have discussed I believe things will not really start to improves dramatically until mid to late October.

We still need a QB, ISU has been lacking in this area for a long time. Most QB's that ISU has trotted out there in recent years are not P5 guys. They play hard, but out of their element

Campbell clearly is addressing the D and O lines, the other thing he needs is find that QB that actually has some other P5 offers.

Tied for the 2nd worst lose to Iowa in history, worst loss since 1997. Doesn't sting as much as I'd thought. I'm not real used to not caring though.

The QB isn't the issue here...Both lines and a lack of discipline are. Iowa showed that tonight. That's why they won by 39.

Guys lets not just give up on this very young staff..They were left with an offensive line that is just really bad. It's an entire new system on both sides of the ball..We've played 2 games and 1 was on the road vs a legit top 15 team..I'm still interested to see how this season plays out..we have some good young talent on both sides of the ball..Offensively think this staff is realizing they need to play Kene and Deshante more along with Montgemeery..As much as I love Warren he is a between the tackles RB..Kene and DM are quicker and more elusive to make that first guy miss..I'm not ragging on Warren he's just a diff type of RB.

Who is giving up on them? No one. But I am not sure why we have to pretend they are doing some amazing job right now. They are not.

They ******* recruited Warren to their previous school, so I'm not sure why all of a sudden you seem to think that he isn't good enough for them.

Jeff Woody is apparently very disappointed that the team didn't make any improvement tonight.

It was clear that Campbell had QB concerns when he brought three guys in fairly quickly. Not mcuh he can do about lack of O line development and lack of linebacking speed. I'm one who believes this will be a happier place come October. Play the young pups and let them get reps. Players and coaches will both get better. This is not a dumb staff. Bonus is they like each other and will continue to work together rather than fracturing like the dumpster fire Rhoads regime.
