When you look back this heart-breaker may be the one you are actually happy for. Before today I figured that CPR was back, but after that finish I think he actually might be gone now. Weird how things change so dramatically in less than two hours. I hope the 4.5 M and whatever the new coach gets is worth it.

PR does not have "victory formation" in the playbook. Coach PR unnecessarily exposed Warren to injury. Mighty tough to win recruiting battles when the competition simply has to show the last two minutes of the 2015 KSU game. At some point we have to face the reality that PR cannot stand success; he seems to excel at dealing with failure.

FIRE HIM NOW. Don't let him on the bus. Don't let him coach the final game of the season. Keep him away from our campus. FIRE RHOADS NOW. **** him.

I turned the game off the moment we missed the 4th and 1 on our first possession of the 2nd half. I said, "I've seen this replay thousands of times before - we are definitely losing this game." I didn't watch or listen or know anything about the final outcome until my daughter told me the horrible (but completely unsurprising) news. How in the **** can you play two games in a row where you score ZERO points, after looking so good in the first half? Rhoads will be given another year, you can take that to the bank - but he SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY after this fiasco. We are a better team than KSU (player-wise), but we continue to be completely OUT-COACHED before the end of the game!

The sad thing is that this isn't really worse than not knowing what down it was last week that every one wanted to give him a pass on.</p>

3 kneels plus a punt and Kansas St. has 10-20 seconds left to hail mary it down the field.

Stop blaming the players and blame the coach for being a *******.

Most coaches would call conservative runs in an effort to get a first down and salt the win. I've never seen a team kneel three times and turn over possession of the ball.

Seriously, if I wasn't an ISU fan I would think someone is getting paid off.
No joke. It would literally be difficult to TRY to lose that game.

Besides the play calling, can't fault the coach for players fumbling. Okay, glass half full. Geez.
I hope this is sarcasm.

Jim Walden > Paul Rhoads
I've said it before and I'll say it again. When you consider all that CPR has had to work with that others didn't (money, TV, facilities), I think any rational person would have to say he is the worst coach in Iowa State history.

As mind-numbingly stupid as the first fumble when we could have won the game was, I think we also need to take to time to look what absolutely moronic coaching it was when we got the ball back in a tie game. Our team was clearly shell-shocked, the stadium was going insane, and our offense had done nothing for an entire half of football. Why the holy **** did we not just kneel down and take the time to regroup and settle down our guys and try to win in overtime? Of course, Rhoads had to be "so proud" and try to go on a dramatic game-winning drive against a fired-up team and we fumble again.

I still feel that Wally being conservative for 90% of the game cost them that game. People will talk about the fumbles, but we don't even let them back in the game if we aren't giving them easy throws without any pressure. Wally needs to take this game and apologize to the players for such a badly called game on the defensive side of the ball in the second half.

They just beat us with a player that wasn't even a QB!!!!! He was an emergency back up!!!!!

I'll bet money, it will be. idiot

We NEED TO SUPPORT OUR PLAYERS! CLEARLY, we have some phenomenal talent, and I for one want to THANK them for their effort and loyalty! Stupid is hard to fix, SO if/when a person able to apply common sense in leading this team into the future is inserted, there would be some great things ahead!

I've seen it happen plenty of times where a team punts (like I said) and has to drive the length of the field.

Royals fans have a saying for when the coach screws over the team ("getting Yosted"). We just got Rhoadsed.

IMO this is on Sturdy, Lanning, Warren. Why would Warren fight for another 6 inches when he could just go down with the ball? Why would we even try to pass when there is not time to get downfield? This is the worst choke I have ever seen in any football game. The players fumbled, not the coaches. I said last week the team was trying to lose. Now, it is obvious. I don't know how any Cyclone fan can maintain any attachment to this team. There really is no point in watching this team.

The players were probably wondering why the hell they were running a play in the first place instead of just taking a knee. This is on the coaches.....no on else. If you can't figure out how to win a football game with a lead, about a minute and a half left, and the other team with only one time-out left......then you don't belong coaching a Division I, P5 team. Period.
