They chose to throw on 2nd down when all you had to do was get one first down and bleed out the clock.

That was some straight CPR type of **** right there.

CMC hopefully goes off on the refs but he needs to be held accountable for taking that kind of risk when the run game was more than established.
The OC chooses the play calls. Why do you think CMC was screaming into his headset after that play? He sure wasn’t trying to order a pizza. Bad play call, but it wasn’t CMC who picked the play. But the fact remains, that was PI on Lazard and anyone who says that a defender hugging a receiver with the ball in the air isn’t PI, they need to review the definition of pass interference.

The officiating was as bad as could be. Typical big 12. They lost control of the game. No question. But Campbell absolutely blew this game. They had the momentum were running the ball and burning clock and you call back to back pass plays. Mind boggling. Even if you don't get a first down you force them to burn the T.O. and flip the field. SMH
And they passed to our stud reciever and got a PI. Except not. That is what we did and it isn't a bad decision based on what we have with our recievers. They just have to keep their players from gaining an advantage by breaking the rules and following through with the call. Don't blame it all on our coaches, check what the officials did not have the balls to call and stand by.

Campbell get the **** out of this corrupt **** hole of a conference while you can. Anything short of the nuclear approach from Pollard and he should be fired. Keep raising hell throwing fits and paying fines to get as much national exposure to these criminals.

The blaming of Campbell is baffling to me. We owned their ass for 4 quarters. Several critical (i.e. rigged) penalties absolutely ****** us.

Sorry, it was absolutely moronic to throw on second down. Especially when we were running well. Worst case, they burn two timeout s and we punt. Just god awful stupid to throw.

If we had a f*"$&ng newspaper that would come out and call it what it was, a corrupt officiating crew, maybe there would be some light shined on it. Instead we'll get the rag talking about what isu could have done differently.

Umpire: Hey, ISU can run out the clock if we call this.
Back Judge: Oh, I guess Lazard is 6'5", 230lbs, we can probably pretend like it was no big deal.
Thats about the only thing that would make sense. They deliberately chose 1 team versus another. No other good explanation.

Calling for coaches heads is so over the top. Yes, it was a frustrating loss. But coaches are evaluated on a record over the whole season or multiple seasons - not one or two bad (really bad) calls.

By the way, if #10 stayed with his man, we win the game. You can't try to do someone else's job. If he stayed with the KState received, it was all she wrote. But I am not blaming the player either, as I judge him a the record of a season, not a single play.

We lost. And it really hurts. But we did have a great season. And we will go to a bowl. Some of the stuffy written here is just so off the wall.

Whoever finalized the play call then needs to be held accountable.

I'll reiterate: the PI was ******** and the refs are to blame for some awful officiating including that.

But throwing on 2nd down when you've got the run game going? You go with what's there.

We were taking advantage of a weakness they had. The officials just couldn't kep the call becuase...... Not sure. But it worked, until someone decided it shouldn't.

10 loses in a row to a team with marginally better talent than us.
Digusting.

I had to listen to the KSU announcers on satellite radio. Pathetic display of play calling toward the end. Brushed off the picked up flags like it always happened. The color guy was screaming after the final TD with the following comments:

“We beat Iowa State, but of course we ALWAYS beat Iowa State”

“I can’t believe this...I might pass out!”

“NEVER count out the Cats”

Made me want to puke in the car. I’ve never heard an “announcer” screaming and so out of control.

Exactly. If they had one less time-out, they would not have even got in the last play.

Very obvious that the officials screwed us. Hard to believe they are that inept. Crooked is probably a better word as obvious as it was. However there was some major coaching fuckups using the clock, very similar to CPR 2 years ago at the same point in the game

Obviously I'm not the one who's blind if you can't at least admit the poor clock management at the end of that game is what really cost us.

True, we had poor clock management, but then called the correct play to overcome that poor clock management, but the ref took it away from us.
