Man, I still remember my first Big XII game in 2003. Being in the band, we had to stand the whole game for a brutal 7-53 loss. Every time they scored--which was virtually every drive--the clock would stop and it was torture.

So proud to finally see a win in this series. It's been a brutal 14 years.

I had this same thought as well since that was my first game and being in the band as well. That season was A LOT of just kindof standing there in the old south end zone being disappointed and tortured.

Numerous excellent plays and standout individual performances.

Additional fun details.
1. OU ran 2 gadget-plays in first half, at a point when (to that point) Sooners offense was having its way for the most part. Question: Why?
2. ISU forced OU punt at end of first half ... and announcers (plus, many fans, including me) assumed Iowa State would take a knee, thenwe saw play-fake and deep pass to get into FG range (and also with time enough to attempt to score a TD). We've been on the opposite end of that situation so many times.
3. Oklahoma had some foot-shooting penalties along the way.
4. Clock-draining TD drive, after allowing OU's quick score to tie the game.

I'm stoked about this win for a multitude of reasons: Lanning, for his draft stock, Manning, for the unneeded redemption, and myself, selfishly. I hope this serves as motivation for Park, regardless of his situation.

A Texas fan on Reddit claims to have donated a gift to the ISU Foundation in memory of Baker Mayfield's Heisman Hopes.

I thought the Sooners kind of panicked a little and started grabbing guys on defense. The personal foul for throwing punches is pretty automatic. The piling on one was the funniest, because the guy took a leaping jump onto a pile of Sooners.

I really only thought there was one pretty questionable PI call that ISU got. The rest were the Sooners just assuming they wouldn't get called. Still stunned that OU didn't get called for holding once in that game with all the running back and forth Mayfield did.
There is also video of an OU player slamming Lannings head into the ground a few times.
