In addition to more mobility & running ability, Purdy might fit the type of offensive scheme Campbell wants to use, lots of motion & multiple sets, threat of misdirection, but he also can sling it downfield, so it isn't too rush-oriented.

Edit: I'm hardly an offensive coordinator. Simply observation.

Agree with you but Campbell out thinks himself with that stupid motion. He had huge openings for speed options to the weak side of the field but he kept motioning people into OSU's defensive gaps.

Lima was absolutely abolishing any living organism in his way, and then taking the second one for a late night snack. That kid is a pro.

I am 42, Ray is the best D lineman I have ever seen in a Cyclone uniform.....by far. I would go as far to say he is the most impactful defensive player we have ever had as well. Guy is a total stud, entire opposing offensive scheme has to be planned around the guy. Only other guy I can think of that was as dominate is KO, who was obviously on the other side of the line. Definite pro barring a massive injury.

I know we've seen this before out of all of our bad QBs over the years, but man did Purdy look good today. Think he might be the real deal.

Also today's win helps clear up our path to a bowl game quite a bit. Beating Kansas, Texas Tech, and Incarnate Word shouldn't be that difficult. Then we just need to beat one of Texas, WVU, K-state, or Baylor. There's likely one or two wins in there too, so assuming we don't take any dumb losses in there we should be back in a bowl

The defense did a great job on Hill, I think the big passing numbers were aided by the defense selling out to shut Hill down. The front 7 was lights out.
I think it was more very good balls by Ok St’s QB. Not every team will complete those passes. If we didn’t get pressure he would have looked very good. Gundy QBs can spin it.

You must be a real pleasure to watch the game with. One bad series and you are ready to toss them in the dumpster. Fortunately, this team is made of better stuff than you are.

Making a lot of assertions about me based on one post. To be expected on a message board, however. Looked like we were off to more of the same offensively. I believe criticism of Campbell was warranted and necessary based on what we had seen up to that point this season. I think he hasn't been putting our guys in the best position to be successfull.

He made a change bringing in Brock and opened up the playbook. Great decision, adjustment, and great game by our players! I couldn't be more elated about the win and our proud of our team today! Go cyclones!

Not to mention we blitzed like crazy all night, and OSU's qb was hitting some NFL level zones, most noticeable the zone just behind the corners and outside the safeties a good 30 to 35 yards down field outside the hash. That is a really REALLY hard throw to make, especially under pressure.

Man she's hot but it looks like she's trying out for a male part in the Nut Cracker. WTF is that outfit?
This was a CYCLONE game at OSU & looked like we had the game easily in hand after the Lewis interception - yet we still had to endure an agonizing end with our collective family jewels protected. I think she dressed appropriately!! (I'll see myself out...)

Did any media ask Campbell why he went for 2? I'm genuinely interested in his reasoning.

If they got two TDs but miss an XP we're still tied rather than a loss at a 12 point lead. Same with a TD and two fieldgoals. All about increased probability to win or go to OT.

if we don't convert we're no worse off holding the 11 point lead.
