Must have played fairly well, as there was only a handful of times I saw the OL get destroyed at the LOS today, and TCU was really pressing the LOS a lot of the game. In the end the game up 3 huge running plays, so ISU definitely made them pay.

Considering the quality of defensive linemen they usually have it was surprising how much they were selling out.

Maybe it was just a first game of the season thing.

Because the game is over when the clock runs out. I don't think they are even allowed to kick it.

C'mon people... I was only joking about Patterson betting money on ISU.... I didn't think I needed to add the sarcastic pirate for that.

I actually have no idea what the rule is, but they did make the teams return to the sidelines, and then the announcers commented about Patterson choosing not to kick the PAT maybe?? But I have no idea what the rule is?

They gave him the choice and he declined to play the PAT.

Cutting as much slack as possible for Brock, I watched the replay a few times ... you can see by his movement he senses the heat coming and he spins away from it (probably by reflex), then almost immediately the second rusher is about to hit him, and he spins in the opposite direction. All of this within about 1.8 seconds.

At that point, from his perspective, left/right/forward/backward/up/down are completely off-axis. So if his instinct is to throw it away vs. taking a sack, results may vary.

Learning curve: Sometimes, you have to take the sack and move on.
