Or flu, pretty much an epidemic this year

The big thing going around has been the norovirus...I got it and trust me, if NWB had it, he wouldn't be playing basketball. Too much cleaning up. :)

Or maybe he DOES have the actual flu and we'll see Michael Jordan Finals '98 2.0!

I think he's been hurt for a while and still is. He hasn't been able to attack very much over the last 3 weeks or so.

TT down 10 to UT with under 4 left. I’d really rather have them win that.

As crazy as it sounds, I think they're the best team in the league, and they've already won at AFH. I wouldn't be too unhappy with them knocking KU from their perch, because I don't think they're likely to stay at that level. Wouldn't love if WV was the team to do it, which seems unlikely at this point.

This team defensively has left 3 point shooters open all year. Very frustrating to watch.

Any idea why when we shoot free throws, why we don't have 2 guys on the block? Sometimes we don't have any. Are we worried about fouls? Sometimes the ball just comes to you. Small pet peeve, but it does drive me crazy.

About the time we close out on shooters, we give up layups. Coach Prohm is playing the odds. If they weren’t hot from three, this would be close. Just the way it will be until we learn how to play against really good teams (and TCU is elite offensively).

This is the correct answer. In a lively arena that yell doesn't stand out. In that Carver-esque arena, that yell stands out and probably scared the ref a little. Whacky call that killed the Cyclone momentum that the basket and foul had provided.
Lard flirts with technicals quite often in my opinion with his yelling and posturing. Hopefully he gets the message tonight.

I know he's not 100% tonight, but where did the Weiler-Babb from South Carolina go? That was AWESOME. Makes me wonder if it's not just physical, but mental too...can't pull the trigger on shots?

Definitely could be hampered physically, but I don’t think it’s a mental issue. Just who he is. More comfortable creating for his teammates. I think Coach Prohm will keep pushing him.

No. Just no. His teams at Murray State were significantly worse than even we were at that time. Prohm was an offensive mind that Fred liked.

Even this year's ISU team is better on D than 3 of his 4 Murray State teams (according to KenPom). Yikes.

KU came back from 13 down Monday night on the road @ WVU. We can come back from 12 down. This is a crazy league.

It's also a complete myth. He was never lauded as a defensive coach. It's something that was talked about here after Prohm said he was going to work more on D than Hoiberg's teams. He was never considered a defensive coach.

Exactly. It's just a thing you say at your introductory presser, and then we run wild with it as fans do.

There’s one big factor that’s killed us this game and that’s Wigginton being on the bench/not scoring.

He at least needs to be filling stats at 3/4 of his normal capacity for us to be competitive against the ranked teams.
