Agree. Solo is a solid player but if Daum is going to be a grad transfer, that's something Prohm needs to be all over.

When they said their starter is out, I knew it would not matter, we are in a rebuilding year

Babb as well...I think he’s a good 6th/7th guy, putting up good stats on a bad team...would prefer our guards shoot better than 17 % from 3...need shooters to space the floor

This sounds silly but we need a JVB on next years team. A big man who can stretch the floor. Brase doesn't count, neither does Beverly. Lard and Solo are non-threats.
TCU averages 88 per game. Just an elite offensive team. What we lack is experience and they have it in spades. Also, we badly need a 4 that can guard on the perimeter. Neither Cam or Solomon are good out there. Just not their games.
I think we’re more likely to run a small ball 4 and mix Lard and Young at the 5 in games like this. Lard and Young are a very good combo against interior oriented 4/5’s.
Lard 'might' be able to eventually guard a stretch 4, but I don't think Solo has the foot speed. He is a bruiser.
Doubt Conditt plays that much next year and I don't know much about Jacobson's game but if could be that, it wold be ideal.
THT, Wiggington, Lard are probably going to take 3 spots, you assume Babb is the 4th, and Shayok?

Yes, will be interesting. I think we’ll have a lot more options to defend a perimeter 4 as long as they aren’t a beast when they take us inside. I think Babb, Shayok, Talley, THT, or Jacobson will all be better defensively on the perimeter against that type of guy. Hard to take Babb off of their best guard though.
Hopefully Shayok brings an understanding of defense to our perimeter guys.
