Tough season, with injuries and freshman at the helm. But I'm optimistic about next season, any barring another injury disaster of a season, we'll be dancing again. If we stay healthy, I'll say top 5 in conference for sure.

On to a long off-season until football starts!

Seems unfair that Wigginton's team lost yet Coleman rises up and makes the dagger shot at the end. Didn't seem like they could stop Wigginton but I bet they were pressuring his shot more at the end and he took it to the hole and found Lard 3 or 4 times. Can't blame that, just unfortunate that last turnover. For those that are more knowledgeable, did the zone more help us or hurt us (offensive rebound cutbacks for Texas). I think it did some of both, but at least we mixed up the defenses and basically played hard with 6 guys.

Let's hear it for...

Donovan Jackson: one of the biggest shots in ISU history and was always scrambling around. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a parent and then try to focus on a senior basketball campaign. Props to him for sure.

Brase: only wish he could have been healthier.

Beverly: I don't care what anyone says--dude deserved to start at the beginning and in the end was still an effective teammate.

Talley is a definite bright spot. Like what we've got going on for next year. Need a few more ball handlers, a couple shooters, and a leader or two. Talley seems to be a leader, or at least a uniter.
He was. I hope we figure out how to utilize him.

Tough end to a tough season. Some bright spots a neutral court tourney championship, a win over UNI which even good Cyclone teams can't say they did, a win over the TOE, some big conf. wins at home 1 of which was against West Va.

Really feel for DJ both for how this season went and for his personal loss. DJ you will never be forgotten as your dagger that sealed a win at the Phog lives forever in Cyclone Lore.

So excited for next year, we return a great young nucleus with some promising transfers and a solid incoming recruiting class.

I appreciate everyone who contributes to these gameday threads. Just 5 months and change till the first football gameday thread. (although I think I will throw in a Spring Gameday Thread in about a month:))

The chapter has been written. Time to close the book on it. Put a bookmark in it though, and remember how painful it is to have seasons like this where you wind up sitting at home in March. Don't forget it, and don't let history repeat itself.

The end.
