In hindsight, it's really easy to see why we lost a couple players late (Johnson and Hinson). If they weren't fully bought into (or capable of performing with) the team concept that TJ has installed, none of it would work. The constant help and pressure they apply would quickly fall apart if one guy wasn't doing his job consistently.

I would be quite surprised if Jorbo keeps his starting position in a few games.

Toussant looked like a disaster every time he touched the ball...
He kept thinking when he got into the lane that our guys were going to over help so he could dish it, but we never did. He also doesn’t play above the rim so going at our bigs wasn’t going to go well for him.

I thought he might actually be one of the guys that was harder to contain, but he did seem to try to bull his way through the defense in the little time he played, which wouldn't have worked out too well.

He has no handles and we had him trying to play even faster than he normally does. Guard play continues to be an absolute disaster for Fran and I really enjoy it. What is going to kill Iowa this year is that they don't have a go to player that can stop a run. That's where Garza was HUGE the last two years.

And they don’t have 3 point shooters but want to be a 3 point shooting team. Sure they were killing teams in the KenPom 300’s, but that doesn’t work when playing quality teams

They were having problems with our pressure defense ... but only played their starting PG 12 minutes!

Iowa's #1 and #2 PGs:
Toussant 12 min 0 pts
Ulis 16 min 0 pts

That's Hunter right there honestly. He was picking them up deep and they couldn't get past him.
