OK. So rolled into Ames tonight and having a nightcap at the bar. They are showing Cyclones.tv and a replay of 2002 CyHawk in Iowa City.

I get most of the youngsters won’t relate, but one of the greatest CyHawk games ever.

We fall behind 24-7 at halftime and Iowa is destroying us. KF has brought his zone read rush game from the NFL and Fred Russell is unstoppable.

Second half and our team is on fire. Shutting down the run. And their QB Brad “Butterfingers” Banks makes 2 horrible fumbles. Throw in a safety and our D were demons.

That is all Seneca Wallace and the Cyclones need. Seneca has a nearly perfect half and leads us to victory. So many great throws. His across the body dime to Whitver from inside our own five will live on forever.

Seneca, Danielson, Whitver, Rutland, Butler, Carsten, Woodley...too many beloved Cyclones to list.
