I really think we still have 6 wins in us. Toledo, Kansas, WVU, Texas, Texas Tech, Iowa all winnable games. Think this team has an upset in them too. Sure would have been nice to get this one, though. Damn.

If we would have won the last 2 games I would agree with you. I don't see a win vs. Texas or Texas Tech though

I just want to point out that Cotton-Moya played a hell of a game. Blew up a couple of plays and of course the big stop on the 2-pt conversion. Looks like losing him last week was more of a big deal than I initially thought. There's hope, but damn this sucks

I feel so much better about this team after today. Maybe not this year, but as we go into the future I think we are onto something. Alot of young guys making big plays out there today (Lazard, Campos, Cotton Moya). Sam looked very good.

Also, feel better about next week watching the first quarter of the Iowa game.

Yep, its going to devolve quickly into a "take your lumps" experience building year pretty soon.

Couple of things - corners finally pressed coverage and Campos did great. For the most part Sam had time to throw. We need to score some second half points!

There are no kind words I can ever say about Bill Snyder...

Bill Snyder is the greatest coach in the big 12 since 1989.

Bill Snyder and Jake Waters both have something in common.....Ia State football turned both of them down for a job and a scholly......

And now we pay the price every year......

Unbelievable we lost that game. So many chances to win.

Why are we running it with AW straight up the gut?

West was big, but his two "drops" were huge. That INT should mute all those wanting Sam to force it every down. We do not have the receivers for that to work consistently.

I understand your comment about the wr's not being the most trustworthy at this point, but I think Sam did what most people wanted in terms of being less cautious with the ball. He played well, still a count late on some things but much more aggressive than last week and last year.

On the bright side, maybe by the time Texas rolls around on the schedule Strong will have kicked the entire team off and they'll be composed completely of Walk-ons. We might be able to pull a victory out then :v_SPIN:

No running game at all. Can't even pick up a 4th and one......of course the wrong back probably ran that.

IMHO, not nearly enough shots down-field........just does not seem to be a part of the game plan.

Not sure what is being said at halftime......but it has to change. Offense has done nothing in 2nd halves so far this year.

ISU should have won this game. They had it.

If we maintain our effort like today, those last 4 games are extremely winnable. We just need to find 2 more games. I feel a lot better about flying in for the Oklahoma game, unless we fall apart by then.

This game has the reminiscence of Texas last season. The team looked beyond horrible. The season looked lost. The fans were starting to turn away. Then they had Texas beat, only to end up with a loss. The fans were interested gain. It looked like the were going to turn the corner and save the season. Then the team looked like straight garbage again until the last two games against the worst two teams in the conference. It seemed as though they put there all in against Texas, only to come up empty. I have a feeling the same thing happened today. Everyone was giving up on the team. Players were quitting, fans were turning away again. Then they came so close to beating the #20 team in the country and it appears at this point that they can salvage a season out of this.

It feels like Texas 2013 all over again.

It was highly Texas-2013-like in a lot of ways.

We will continue to get better each week. There are many positives.

If we didn't improve from the NDSU game, that is would be just plain embarrassing. We lost, improving is fine and dandy but so what? Sports come down to W's and L's. This is an L. Great game, but we are still losers. I expect that at some point the coaching staff and players are sick of losing in this heart-wrenching fashion. Apparently not. Just win. Period. Don't care about improve, or "being young", or "being close", just win.

I did not see Sam change, I saw the line allow him to keep with the receivers. Having Tom back at center was huge and Campos played better than Gannon on pass plays IMO.

they looked a lot better than last week. Yes, it isn't any fun to lose another game but I for one saw enough improvement in the team that I am cautiously optimistic enough to buy the hope that we are being offered.

Entertaining, hard fought game, but KSU just made plays when necessary, and ISU didn't.

Somehow, ISU has to catch the ball with the game in the balance, and get that yard on 3rd and 1. That' s basic fundamental football, and for some reason, ISU just struggles with those basic things year after year. Consistent winning won't come until those things are mastered.
