ISU- 3 7 14 7- 31
KU- 0 10 10 8- 28

This will be a tight game all the way. KU will get the ball with 2 minutes left in the game looking for the tie/win. With just under a minute left, KU gets into ISU territory, Wally blitzes, and KU throws a pick to secure a 3 point ISU win.

Every time we get our arses handed to us, CPR does a good job at making the boys play well the next week. And then we settle. And then we get pounded the next week. And then we play well the next week. It's an endless cycle.

When did this happen? Only example I can see in the last 3 years before I stopped looking was ND State this year, we responded with a decent game, but lost to K State.

2014: Hammered by Baylor, followed it up by getting beat badly by an Oklahoma State team that has only beaten us, KU and TT in conference.

2013: Beat by Baylor 71-7, followed by getting beat by OK State 58-27, K State 41-7, etc.

2012: Didn't have a lot of arse-handings. God bless Knott/Klein.

2011: Got beat by Texas 37-14, followed by 3 games (Baylor, Mizzou and TAM) where we got beat by a combined score of 134-60. And only Baylor was a great team out of these teams.

2010: Lost to Utah 68-27, followed by OU 52-0.

Please give you your list of games we got killed in and then rallied the troops.

That said, we win Saturday.

I was with you until the bolded part. Have we blitzed at all since the first half of the OSU game?

2013 - Nearly beat a good TCU team after losing 41-7 to a mediocre Kansas State team. Beat Kanas 34-0 after a 38 point loss to Oklahoma. No, it wasn't an upset. But no one predicted the 1-9 Cyclones to not only beat, but shutout Kansas and beat them by 34.

2012 - Close loss to #6 Kansas State, followed by a 21 point loss to a non-ranked Okie State team, followed by a 14 point win over a good Baylor team.

2011 - Loss to A&M by 14 but if I recall correctly it should've been by much more after the first half. Followed it up with a 34 point win over #19 Texas Tech

2010 - #6 OU beats us 52-0, we beat #22 Texas @ Texas by 6 the following week.

Well then we should look at this years pattern. Two losses followed by a win which means we win this week. Lose to TT and WVU, then urinate in TCU's playoff cornflakes with an upset W. All that being said that Shiz isnt happening and patterns mean exactly nothing.

Who would rather lose Saturday if it guaranteed one win in basketball over KU in the regular season.

Not I. A loss to Kansas in football would be devastating to CPR and this program/fan base. The meltdown would be epic, and the "should CPR be fired" vote would probably do close to a 180. A loss to Kansas in basketball would be MUUUCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH easier to swallow.

I'm good with the football team blowing this if it give success to mbb.

I'd rather we beat them in both football and basketball though.

Not me. A loss to KU in football would be a new all time low for the CPR era. No matter how bad they get trounced by the conference elite, they've always had KU to kick around.
Win, and at least there's a faint pulse from the crowd at JTS the next two weeks. Lose and take up residence in the Big 12 basement, and the JTS parking lots and stands are a ghost town.

A loss Saturday and CPR needs fired Sunday, no excuses will cover a loss to KU. I'm not sure we win Saturday. KU can run the ball, we can't stop the run. I fear KU runs for 300+. Going with my heart not my head and saying we win 31-28.

Since Weis was fired they actually haven't ran the ball all that well. Still, ISU can sell out to slow the run because KU's passing game isn't good enough to make them pay for it.

I'll be getting blitzed at a cousin's wedding. So I predict I will not know the score till someone texts me about it.
