Can anyone quote what was said on Gameday?

Not exactly but they pretty much talked about how we got to 3-0 with three come from behind games. Herbstreit talked about how impressive it was to come of the big emotional win last week and then show maturity to win the game last night! Fowler brought it up out of the blue! It was pretty sweet!

It wasn't quite out of the blue. ESPN has dubbed this weekend "Road Test Week" (or something like that) because so many of the top rated teams are playing on the road this week. And while ISU isn't a top rated team, they pulled out a gutty road win on their network last night. Oh - and ESPN has also had a boner for Rhoads ever since that postgame locker room speech after the Nebraska game 2 years ago.

Also mentioned Rhoads and the job he has done so far in Ames.

Anyone see that ESPN had Jake Knott listed as Jack Knott? Also, on SportsCenter after the game, they said "We will be showing highlights from the UConn game".
UCONN didn't win the ******* game you ********. ESPN is kiddie-pool deep when it comes to knowing what the hell they are talking about.

I thought the offense came out flat but hung in there. UConn has a very good defense and they tackle well. I don't remember very many broken tackles. I was happy to see the team hang in there and battle. Good win.

Thrilled with the 3-0 record but we'll need to clean up our play if we hope for conference success.

Thru 3 games: 30 penalties for 256 yards.

Two huge victories versus BCS competition:
ISU - 22 penalties for 175 yards
UI & UCONN combined - 7 penalties for 40 yards

Please clean it up CPR before "the problem" comes back to bite us!

Ok but seriously...no late hit on Jantz when the guy came in with the knee drop? We had one called on us when the guy wasn't even down yet?!!?!!?!??!?!?

The penalty thing from last night is a total fluke. They even waited to see if the U-Con guy made it back before throwing the flag on the offsides... The first pass interference wasn't a catchable ball IMO, the second one was a hold. The P/F was a joke since the player wasn't down yet when he was hit. The refs tried to determine the outcome of the game and ended up looking like the doeeeucchebags that they must be. I wouldn't change a thing. Imagine what a game will be like without all of these bad things happening?

It was a Big XII crew; theoretically, what we saw last night is what we'll see in conference play.

ISU penalties for season:
UNI - 8 for 81 yards
UI - 11 for 84 yards
UCONN - 11 for 91 yards

That's not a "fluke", it's a trend (and trending worse). It hasn't cost us a game yet; let's get a handle on it before it does.

I had to watch the 3rd and 4th quarters off my DVR yesterday and the ref crew sure appeared to have a total aversion to calling ANYTHING on UCON.

Back-to-back plays I saw for the first time.

The guy frog-splashes Jantz after he'd been sacked. The very next play is, "Well, we threw a flag for facemask but if you guy's didn't really mean it, nevermind".
