Doesn't matter. Why would you give them uncontested FREE throws to take the lead?

Did Naz Long again catch the mistake they almost made with the clock, not moving it back to 1.7 seconds? It was pretty late in the process before they got it right.
Why should he answer when you won't even produce a simple link to the one and only example you could come up with of a coach employing your "new school" strategy? The game 25 months ago wasn't it. When was it?
Clearly, we're an offensive team. But why give a team two FREE shots from the charity stripe to take the lead vs playing them straight up like we did? In that possession Clyburn was all over Smart for 5+ seconds (ref failed to call 5) & then Smart made a tough, contested shot...but at least it was contested and not two free throws.
Usually there are plenty of people carrying the dumb around here after a loss. Tonight we got one guy trying to carry the load all by himself.
I see plenty of guys trying to show you how dumb your theory is so maybe you should rethink that a bit. Still waiting for that link, so I guess I'll just have to assume you are full of ****, too.

As you, or someone else, stated earlier...teams shoot a better percentage from the FT line vs the field. No coach in his or her right mind would foul intentionally to put the other team on the line to take the lead/win in a tie game.
Here is the closest rule that I can find:
Section 5. Out of Bounds, Ball in Play from
Art. 1. When the ball is out of bounds after any violation as outlined in Rules 9-3
through 9-14, an official shall place the ball at the disposal of an opponent of the
player who committed the violation for a throw-in from the same designated spot
nearest to where the violation occurred.
Art. 2. When a throw-in provision is violated, the new throw-in shall be from the
same designated spot as that of the original throw-in.

I'm not sure that a foul before the ball is touched in-bounds fits either provision.
Normally I like to get in on the dumb, on either side. But, damn, after another lost opportunity, I am numb to it.
Refs, team, coaches, fans, it does not matter, just start winning these types of games. Please.
