I'd just like to know what Hutch was thinking when he left his feet for the ball. His leap, in terms of direction, didn't indicate he misjudged the length of the throw. Looked habitual and this one turned out to be poorly timed and misplaced.

Much like the refs he might have made a mistake.

Someone needs to find out when the last time a targeting call was made in the Big 12. I haven't seen a single one since the Baylor game

We are so far behind on these targeting and “illegal” tackles that are totally normal tackles it’s not even funny.

If it all evens out we’ve got a handful of unearned first downs where we got stoned and 100 yards of penalties coming to us the rest of the season.

I welcome an angry meltdown about the refs. It's healthier than us eating our own, but I've already seen too many people blaming X of all people.
He was fantastic…as always. No denying that if he had caught that pass, it’s a TD…but that doesn’t mean he deserves blame. Also doesn’t mean we were assured of a win. There was a lot of time left.

O-line didn't open many holes but they held up really well in pass protection. I think just one sack and was on Dekkers mostly.

Given his positoin in the pocket I thought he should have seen it coming, but Miller was destroyed quickly.

Run blocking has been a massive problem.

I thought out offense improved a lot. Dekkers getting more comfortable running on his feet. Play calling seems to be improving. We need to be playing damn near perfect to win clearly. Making too many mistakes. Running backs need to find holes and WR need to catch balls, stop dropping them.

Defense played well also.

We are in literally every game so it’s frustrating, but at least we are putting up fight.

It what it is. Between missed plays and horrid calls it wasn’t our day, much as it hasn’t been our year.

Seriously though, what is up with the X drops? Two missed TDs against KU and KSU and then the drop on 4th last week, and that’s all before you factor in the gimme TD today

Edit: he absolutely made some big time plays today, and has kept us in every game, which is why I posed this question in the first place.

honestly, we probably should have won that game. our offense FINALLY did something. defense played okay. Kicker missed a long kick, it happens. theirs also missed a kick.

it's insanely frustrating that they pick and choose how to apply targeting, but it is what it is. I don't even really blame dekkers for that fumble. he got a helmet directly to his head at full speed. he probably got knocked out.
