It was critical that the offense respond there. They didn't need to score, but they need to get 2-3 first downs. Instead...3 and out.
Going into this year, it was the offense that needed to step up, due to youth and player losses on defense. They have mostly not done that. That last drive was a big one. Whatever the defense does here, it is going to be even more critical that the offense respond on the next drive.

He used to tuck it way too early and run too often. I think he is still working out what the best decision is. He is better though.
He's had a couple chances to get easy 5-10 yard runs and hasn't taken them. I wonder if he's been told to "not run" unless absolutely necessary (shoulder).
Now we find out if this team can keep the effort up to win a game for four quarters. WVU is answering the effort. We need to step it up.
