For a game as lopsided as it was that feels like something announcers would’ve spent most the broadcast talking about.
Heise with 6 steals! He seems to be developing a role as a defensive stopper against guards/wings, which could be invaluable in keeping our other guards out of foul trouble once we get into conference season.
After about the first 5-10 minutes they looked bored.
Maybe not "bored," but probably a little unfocused.
I guess it's natural if you build a major margin and opponent isn't a serious threat, you know you can play loose (sometimes that's helpful, sometimes it leads to sloppiness).
Yeah it's human nature to let off a bit when things are going well.
That includes big leads on good teams going away which happens fairly often.
That sldo includes just losing a rhythm for a bit while the opponent finds it.
The good thing was, whenever they looked like they were losing focus and Jackson St started to make a run, ISU went into lock down mode and shut it down, quick and then extended the lead.
I know it was a poor opponent, but I'm really liking the look of Jones and MM's 3 point shot, feels like first year we can have some deadly 3 point games since Hoiball era. Just think it's going to be such a weapon to combine that floor stretching with one of the best penetrating guards in the country and big guys who can actually score and finish.

I was at the game and the crowd was bored pretty quickly too, what crowd was there. Terrible time slot against a terrible opponent.
