I think that policy would have to apply evenly across conferences, meaning that every league would be a two bid league. Doubt the big boys will ever let that happen.
So long as there a defined process for determining the automatic qualifier, conferences are free to determine their process. But the NCAA has said that pulling the league's top team from the conference tournament in hopes of getting an extra bid might result in neither team qualifying. I don't understand the doom and gloom; basketball is supposed to be FUN. People play it all the time for nothing.

I don’t like this. I love conference tournaments and don’t want load management to ruin them. I would rather we move the tournament up a few days (a la the MVC).
I like the Conference Tournaments too. I just think the Regular Season Champion deserves a break, and the other teams can fight for the Tournament Trophy. To me, it's a Win-Win. FWIW, Houston would get a well earned rest, and ISU would now be the #1 seed in the Big XII Tournament. :)

Way up there
TJ took a long time to adjust to Tang playing a huge lineup in Manhattan. Trying to guards Kaluma with Gilbert and Jones is a bad idea. It'll be interesting to see how/ if we adjust this time around. They were bigger, more physical and had their way with us. Hopefully we take that personal.

I think Watson being out was one reason for this.

Not sure how that works with an odd number of teams playing?

K-State is my stopgap most hated team in the league with OU and Texas' unofficial departure from Big 12 sports. At least until Utah gets here, who seem like they will slide seamlessly into the void left by OuT.

In 2019 #2 Taco Tech lost to #10 WVU in Kansas City. They went on to the NC game.

Think we win today, but I'm still optimistic that we'll play well in the NCAA. Not sold we would get past Baylor tomorrow either way.

Streisand effect: can't wait for all the zoomed in videos of Tang in his team's huddles tonight.
