***Official NU@ISU Post Game Thread***

Great to see the guys get a win!! I know I will get railed for actually thinking this season is not ALL Mac's fault, but I think that play at the end of the half tells you a lot about this team. The ONLY objective was to foul until the half was over without allowing a 3. Every player knew that and yet we couldn't handle that. Extremely frustrating to see something that easy not be executed. At least it didn't cost us in the end.

Let's get the Buffs!!

McDermott said himself this week that ISU is going to be a team nobody wants to play in KC. Is ISU the best 10-11 seed ever in this conference?

Probably not. A 10 seeded Mizzou team went to the final game in 1997. So unless we get that far, I don't think we are the best 10/11/12 seed ever in the conference...

So...remember when everyone couldn't believe that people picked us to finish 8th? Well we will need Tech to lose against Nebby and Baylor and Oklahoma to lose to Baylor and A&M (3/4 of those are likely), and we will need to beat Mizzou and Colorado for that to happen. Here's to living up to expectations!

Exactly! We've lacked execution this year.

Game question....did anyone notice Garret was double teamed/attempted trap a lot every time up the court first half? I thought I saw that but they never tried it on Colvin?

My thought was they knew they could trap Garret and not get hurt but that Colvin would either break the trap or make a pass to hurt them.

They tried it with Colvin, and he made it look pretty funny. I think he was faster and smoother than anyone that the Huskers had. They looked like slow, corn-overfed guys compared to Chris.

One thing I like about Colvin when he has the ball is that he is constantly moving towards the hoop and always has the D on edge ready for him to drive.

You mean to tell me that you didn't see that happening before it happened?

When I saw DB foul the guy, and heard the announcer say that we still had fouls to give, I announced to noone in particular that we were going to miss the assignment and give up points. I thought it would be a lay up, so I was wrong.

But how many times do you have to watch the same types of mental errors before you even think that it might be how they are coached?

I agree let's get the Buffs

Buckley's foul was extremely costly and was a very poor decision.

To me there is hustle mistakes and just plain bonehead mistakes. I'll accept hustle mistakes.

Me, too. Speaking of hustle, Dendy looked sooooooo much better tonight. Fun game from him.

And it was good to see our assertive Mr. Brackins back, and Gilstrap's passing touch early in the game.

best game for colvin IMO. he really cranked it up a notch on defense and with a little urgency getting to the rack. Good game. Nice to get the W.
