Where they love the governor
A postgame gem from Fred Hoiberg: “And I thought our free throw defense was much better. They only shot 90 percent against us tonight.”

I heard that, and enjoyed his discussion on how to improve the FT defense by putting the short guys down on the block to get in the other team's head.

That is a remarkable stat. I looked it up, was surprised to see he wasn't higher in the national standings. Everyone above him is taller except for a 6-4 freshman from SUNY-Binghamton (alma mater of Tony Kornheiser).

Interesting. Binghamton needs something to hang their hat on...wasn't it just last year that they were on a 32-game losing streak or something horrendous like that? I remember it was a top story on ESPN when they finally won a game.

Good, his **** is not needed in NCAA basketball. Between him and Nash, I will thoroughly enjoy watching them get school next year in the NBA.

From what I have seen, Smart has had good sportsmanship.
If you don't like him, be prepared to deal with 3 more years of him at most

The biggest thing I have against him is his whining and ******** every time he doesnt get a call his way. That and all that stupid flopping.

Clyburn is the key. When he is on, we win. When he isn't, we lose. He is a tough matchup so we need him to be on from here on out.

I am a Loyal Little (via podcast) of the TK radio show that airs out of the District. Tony is now on the Binghamton board of trustees and was worried he would miss another meeting this week because of the snow storm.

Information for life!!

Actually, I kind of agree with BKLYN. I don't know if I would call it dirty. Maybe not even chippy, but he definitely pushes the envelope.

I hope no fans of Smart's game are critical of flopping in soccer, I've seen few players in any sport fake contact on Smart's level. I thought he died several times tonight, then realized there was actually no contact.

Some consider it poor sportsmanship and apparently others consider it high quality gamesmanship, seems to depend on the sport.

yes, maybe we can work our way up to a 9 seed again and get placed in the same bracket as the #1 overall seed...again!

if we win the next two games this may just happen. may be a benefit to roll over in the big 12 tourney. of course, with this team we could go 0-1 or win the big 12. who knows?
The number one seed won't be as good as last year's number 1 seed. This team if it is playing well would give anyone a run for their money this year I believe. But we need Booker playing like he did tonight.

Not to mention Bubu. He had some huge minutes with good free-throw shooting.
Never seen anyone that can get to the line like Bubu. Needs to concentrate on his free throws better, the whole team did.

The travis technical didn't work!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO CLONES!!! I'll sleep real good tonight!!!!!!!!!!.

Speak for yourself..I can't sleep after wins like tonight. End up watching old youtube videos from the 90s that eventually lead me to cooking up ideas about sneaking hoiberg back into a jersey for a few plays. I think he could pull it off..the man doesn't age.

I think we don't win that game without Booker playing like he did tonight. I have been hoping for this all year. We need him until the end.

Great effort and intensity! ISU played good defense and kept the pace up-tempo. Now, hopefully CFH can find a way to bottle up that intensity and take it on the road.

This game showed how good ISU can be when the show up on the defensive end of the floor. Hopefully this isn't a one game occurrence and they play with that kind of energy and focus for the rest of the year. If they do, they could make a good run in the big 12 tournament and NCAA

I thought we really made a concerted effort to get to the hoop in the second half. Passed up a lot of three pointers to get to the rim and it was very effective. Obviously that's a scouting report strategy and doesn't work for every team, but I liked it when the threes weren't falling!

It's going to be a great tactic when we get to the NCAA tourney. Teams are just going to be flying out at us after watching our film and we'll be faking and running right past them. Livin by the free throw line!
