I saw the team kind of chirping at each other after Lucca turned the ball over.

I fear this season will get worse from here on out if things don't change. This team doesn't look much like one right now. Bickering and arguing with each other.

14,000 in attendence, SC just gave our crowd props...I swore I could have heard a pindrop except when UNI did some good things. This has been hashed and rehashed millions of times before, but it's crazy what has happened to Hilton Magic. From some of the most amazing wins to home losses to UNI (among other terribles).

clearly see? I somehow doubt that.

In the first half our jump shots were falling, second half they weren't

UNI pounded it into their 7 footer and that allowed Koch to attack the change in our defense the entire game.

That's the point... 2nd half we did nothing to fix our offense (that was not gelling AT ALL the 2nd half) and nothing to stop their center

I'm just sick and tired of watching GMac congratulate the UNI coaches and players nearly every single year. It gets VERY old GMac. We know you still have a place in your heart for UNI.... maybe you need to go back there and be an assistant for Jacobsen?

This is pure win right here.

Nailed it!

We should have won. We have horrible discipline. Our talent is greater than that of UNIs by a lot yet we have no discipline anymore.

I'm not giving up on this team, I've never given up on a cyclone team. But unless we pull off a huge upset at Cal, I do think the expectations for this season will be greatly diminished.

We've been destroyed inside for two straight games, and we MUST find a solution for that.

I think we have the talent to be a very special team, but we are lacking it between the ears right now. We MUST find a way to get a little swagger, impose OUR will on the other team, and play with confidence at the end of the game. In other words, as CPR would say, this team desperately needs to learn how to win.

And now a return to unhinged meltdowns...

No. I'm not doing the whole "We'll have a good season" thing this time.

I've reached my point. I've backed him for 3+ ******* years. This **** is beyond terrible.

AGREED!!!!!!!!!!!! How many more coaching disasters are we going to watch from GMAC???? This game was an absolute coaching FAIL and if Jamie Pollard fires GMAC tomorrow I will have a huge smile on my face. He is an absolute trainwreck of a coach. There is absolutely no reason that this game should have been close and our strategy at the end of the game or complete lack there of was a disgrace. GMAC should be ashamed to cash his paycheck.

The only people you can possibly fault for these things are the coaches! All the things you mentioned above are the result of inadequate preparation and teaching.

Maybe the big man shooting from outside problem is coaching, but in my view much of the rest seems to me to be a failure in execution; no coach can execute or perform for his players.

Terrible coaching job go to cyclones.com and send Pollard an e-mail to let him know your thoughts on his hire, he will be gone after this year. What a joke for a coach he couldn't coach Kansas to the NCAA tournament. Team is soft, plays no defense, doesn't rebound and MAC can't make adjustments during the game, coaches looked lost during time outs.

I've been one of the BIGGEST GMac supporters on this site, but I have to tell ya... he'd better make the NCAA tourney this year... or else he has to go. And it pains me greatly to say that.

UNI is a much more disciplined team in every aspect. Our athleticism alone made this a close game. We were outrebounded big time. We were outhustled big time. We were outsmarted big time. And we were outcoached BIG TIME tonight.

There was only one team on the floor tonight that even looked like a fundamentally sound basketball team... UNI. Not one single UNI player would have shot the ball that Dendy did near the end of the game. They all know their roles and play them well. UNI manhandled Brackins all night long, and took it to us physically on the offensive side and got to the FT line. I can't imagine what a team like Texas will do to us on the interior?

If we don't make the NCAA tourney this year, don't expect to make it for a while. Brackins and Gilstrap, our two best athletes by far, are gone next year. At this point, we will be MUCH worse next season. Who is going to play inside for us next year besides Hamilton? Ejim and Phillips are basically guards.

I'm just sick and tired of watching GMac congratulate the UNI coaches and players nearly every single year. It gets VERY old GMac. We know you still have a place in your heart for UNI.... maybe you need to go back there and be an assistant for Jacobsen?

Could not agree more.

I love GMac. I've actually worked under him for a year at UNI. But he is way in over his head with the uptempo game. Defense, rebounding and offense tempo/rhythm are completely lacking.

I feel that we all should call in to the CourtCyd Show on Monday and inform Greg of how he should be coaching. It will make us all feel better

I believe most on here may have overrated the talent on this team....probably based in part on the lack of it the last several years. None of the post men, with the possible exception of Hamilton, was able to keep from getting pushed 15 feet from the basket. None of the post defenders were able to do anything against their big men. Scares me to death what big men in the conference will do to these guys.

Sports aren't about being nice to your competition...it's about beating them and putting your foot on their throat. Mac needs to man the **** up.

Just a complete collapse by our team down the stretch.

Horrible shot by Dendy, both the attempt and the decision to shoot it to begin with. I think he was a little overwhelmed by the situation.

Hard for Brackins to score when he doesn't get the ball and when he does he is double teamed 15 feet from the basket. His teammates just abandoned him when he got doubled and hard to see past two 6'10 guys.

Garrett cannot take 14 or 15 attempts a game. He just can't, he isn't a good enough shooter for that. Granted he was like 40% tonight. But he as the PG should be distributing more than shooting.

Just a complete collapse at the end. Sucks to lose that one in Hilton.

Agree on G's shooting but only to a point; he was forced to shoot sometimes because he could not find anyone else open; it appeared to be UNI's strategy to let G. go and cover everyone else as tightly as possible. Just my view.

We should all write letters to the ISU Daily saying how we can do a better job coaching than McD. That would get a LOT of people in the athletic office riled up and maybe they can change a few things if they take it seriously. Just be sure to do it anonymously.
