There are no more excuses. This is ******** of epic proportions.

You know what happened? Wesley Johnson left because McD rode him or was too hard on him, and now he has to pussyfoot around the players because he doesn't want to lose them too.

Boo hoo hoo.

Grow a set McD. Man the **** up. Those refs deserved an *** chewing a couple times tonight, and all I see out of you is the Dan McCarney stroll and clap maneuver. That got his dumb *** fired and it will get your *** fired too.

Your job is at stake joker. Or do you just not care? Or are you unable to learn? Show some ******* passion and maybe your players will too? Huh? Ever think about that one?

**** this season.

Yeah exactly. Give me someone who will fire up a team. I've hardly ever seen McD like that. It's annoying as **** when he's like "ohhh whatever..it's fine guys." It's like he's high on pot all the time and just doesn't care

would somebody explain why that dumb *** dendy shot that terrible shot when we were up one with the entire shot clock remaining? If we hold it for 35 seconds and turn it over...it is better than that crap

We have Cal, Bradley, Houston, and Duke as tough games before the conference..we may not get as many wins as we had last year!

It really looks like we hired the wrong guy from UNI, just like Colorado hired the wrong guy from Boise State.

Fallacies disproved by tonight's ISU performance:

Brackins is a lottery pick. He's not even a first round pick the way he is playing now. He was owned by Egelseder.

McDermott is a good Big Man coach. Brackins hasn't improved much, if any from last year. The team as a whole lacks any physicality in the paint. They don't know how to rebound against physical players. In general, the team lack physical toughness.

McDermott is a good X's and O's coach. Any team with reasonable talent can impose their will on ISU, and McDermott can't counter. His teams can't dictate tempo.

Just pray for a miracle folks, or this team will be utterly destroyed in the Big 12.

Unless he goes Mangino, he's not in danger of losing his job this year.

GMac's Impact at ISU
Games ISU won that they should not have won = 0
Games ISU lost that they should not have lost = LOTS, including the last two
Record against the Missouri Valley = 2-8

Seriously lame.

2-9

*edit: nevermind (correction by cb21 below)... thought the announcers said 2-8 earlier in the game

I don't fault so much the coaches or the refs; we made some poor plays all night long: bad passes, failure to cut off their drives (seems like every UNI player but the big center put the ball on the floor and drove down the lane for scores), poor rebounding on both ends (doesn't anyone follow their shots anymore? If you are going to allow guys 6'10" or 6'11" to shoot from way outside, how about asking them to follow their shots for rebounding). I am beginning to think we have only paper height--looks good on paper but doesn't lead to much inside on the boards. Finally, maybe we have some good talent but that talent too often does not demonstrate good basketball sense.

Dude, almost all of our players do it. You need to realize that. Especially Staiger. He's probably the worst on the team at it. All he does is shoot with 26 seconds left on the clock with a hand in his face. Just watch for it next game

I may disagree with Bawbie about a lot of things, but I respect the hell out of the passion they show.

If McD cared 1/4th as much as Bawbie does about things, HB would be a Cyclone and this team would be undefeated and unchallenged.
