How do you lose that game? Lots of things to point to and mismanagement is near the top.

I do NOT want to start over with a whole new staff but ****, there's very little to be excited about. I think there is talent and has been talent, but that talent, albeit it few and far between, does not improve. Netten was at his best year 1. Richardson been in free fall. Tribune not getting better. I could go on.

When you're playing to win the game with a FG? ABSO*******LUTELY. EVERY other team not affiliated with ISU CENTERS THE DAMN BALL WHEN TRYING TO WIN THE GAME WITH A FG.

This. It removes the element of even having to think about pushing or pulling the ball one way or the other if you're a kicker. You get to just send your kicker out and say "chip it high and far."

I mean, this is elementary level football stuff. I can't believe there is anyone who doesn't understand this. And it seems like the only guys not thinking about this aspect of the game are the ones getting paid millions or hundreds of thousands of dollars to organize/operate the team on the field.

It really is inexcusable when we were trying to kill the clock anyway. The last play before the FG was just absolutely insane since we had clearly already decided to kill the clock instead of going for a TD.

This was a very bad loss in that Toledo clearly was not the amazing SEC crusher, they looked pretty bad and really had practically no big play threats all night.

Any one playing Madden would center the ball in that situation.

Why. He just beat 2 P5 schools back to back. Toledo will prob be ranked and will win the Mac. He's young and is recruiting better than CPR. Imagine what he might do with our facilities. I half kid....I'm just so ****** off at how poorly coached this team is and how Sam didn't just throw the damn ball up.
Did you watch any other games today? Turns out Arkansas might be pretty bad.
The coaches may not make it past this season but it's hilarious what we blame on them. Fumble inside the 20? Coaches fault. Miss a 32 yard field goal? Coaches fault. Take a sack on 4th down with the game on the line? Coaches fault.

When end do the players share some of the blame?
Those are discipline issues. And yes, they are the fault of coaches.

It's a 32 yard FG (after a false start penalty)?!? Now those have to be centered?

Coaches certainly deserve blame. But they players were put in positions to win the game tonight. And they failed. That's on both the coaches and the players. But the coaches can't execute a 32 yard FG.
Absolutely, an FBS kicker should make that kick. Shoot, a high school kicker should. But running a play to the opposite hash prior to the kick is the very definition of NOT "putting your team in a position to win."

A GOD DAMN 6 YEAR OLD COULD TELL YOU THAT NETTEN CANNOT MAKE A FIELD GOAL FROM EITHER HASH. CENTER THE ******* BALL AND MAKE THE FIELD GOAL.

THE PLAYERS MADE SOME PRETTY ABYSMAL DECISIONS BUT THAT MUCH IS PRETTY EASY TO FIGURE OUT

To be fair, Netten made the kick from the other hash in OT, otherwise I completely agree with you.

Maybe Prohm should have our basketball players take their free throws from the elbow instead of straight on, I mean they should make it anyway.

The players were recruited and coached by whom?
