***Official Student Section vs. WVU Thread***

I'll try to stick to the topics, but I'll really miss talking about the timing of our free throw distractions.

Im a student, I understand why the students cant or wont come. The dance marathon comments need to stop, that is an amazing organization. But in the first few games there were hundreds of students that got turned away for those games, in the freezing cold. Next year there will be a new system in place that will help fill all the seats. Students are also very busy, cut us kids a break.

Those students are ******* ******** if that is what is keeping them away.

These are the first five games:

UNC-Wilmington
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Michigan
UMKC
Auburn

Other than Michigan, which was the third game, the student section was not full for those games.

Oh. I thought this thread was going to be about ideas to get under the WVU team's skin and possibly point out players for the student section to target with boos. But, no. It's actually a thread whining about how people whine about the poor student section.There is some irony in my expectation and the reality of this thread if you look hard enough.

Seriously? This is YOUR team. Take some pride in having a top 15 team and show up the the f'ing game. Also, the students that got turned away for those games were not in the cold for hours. Those students, the ones who waited, camped out, showed up to support team instead of showing up for a cool environment got in.

There may be a different system in place for next year but it will include selling those upper deck tickets to people who will actually show up instead of flaking out on one of the best teams in the country.

Don't make excuses. Just show up and be loud.

Anybody else find it interesting that our own fan base is turning on each other during such a great stretch of Cyclone bball? Seems to have really started to get worse as we are approaching March. I am guilty of it as well. Haven't had very many seasons like this one to compare it to. maybe it is normal for crappy teams and really good teams to get like this.

Oh nobody is turning on each other. When it comes to message boards this one seems pretty normal. Everyone has a right to complain about the student turnout though. Bet we are the only student section with a top 15 team that cant get 75% full.

Our fanbase isn't turning on each other. We are turning on the ones who claim to be fans, but only when it is against a big name school.
