That wasn't the best game we've played all year but it was never really in doubt either. Hopefully Cincinnati used up alot of energy today in their loss and we'll be fresher Tuesday.

There were little signs of progress hopefully.

Milan didn't need to press for shots, ISU didn't turn TCU over much, and they pushed the lead back to double digits when TCU went on their run and were forcing the issue with some dudes.

ISU also seemed to pretty sharp coming out of the gates including the first four of the 2nd half which is better than the slogs of the past two seasons.

I still think the next month will have some bumps but there's some potential here.

The depth of this team has really developed in conference play and has made us significantly better. We have lots of lineup options and lots of contributors which make us difficult to play. Ward, Watson, Pav, and C Jones are a strength rather than a weakness.

I would like to see Watson get more mins. I'm a King fan but I feel Watson is a better defender and rebounder.

The team has raised it's offensive play but it still needs to be good on defense to win.

I never noticed until someone else pointed out . . . . every starter took exactly 7 shots.

That is some crazy balance. Having 5 guys* (who could legitimately) each go off and lead the team on a given night makes a team really tough to defend. Which guy do you put your Chris Babb on?

*I am putting Milan, Trey, Tamin, Keshon, and Curtis in this category.

They seem to be trying to take Milan away the last five or six games, but everyone else has stepped up. Earlier in the year, I would have said that's a strong strategy, but now, not so much.
