We simply won't push the ball up court - every time we have an opportunity we slow it down and wait to setup the "offense".
I'm guessing it's about limiting possessions throughout the game but my goodness could this team use an easy bucket that comes from pushing it from time to time.

Can't we teach guys to shoot???
Isn't that a teachable thing???
Well...Can't we teach them to MAKE them??? At least once in a while???
(Just frustration I guess.)
Sometimes even teachable shooting won’t work. The San Antonio Spurs have arguably the best shooting coach in Chip Engelland but have the worst FT% as a team in the NBA. Sometimes it’s not the coach or shooting technique, it’s mental.

FWIW: TCU shot 53% from the field in the first half, but they have averaged 42.5% this season. They are due for a regression to the mean. Of course, The Cyclones' cause would be helped if they weren't so disjointed offensively.

Is someone open to make something happen down court?

Looks like TCU is getting back very well.

i think the problem with the team is less bad shooting in abstract than it is some really bad decisions on which shots to take. when we ratchet it up on defense like this we get into a better flow and take better shots (from what i see). i think the game is there if we keep up the defensive pressure and attack the hoop.

Hold them to 2 points though the under 15 timeout and barely close the gap. So frustrating.

Coaches don’t make people good shooters. And they aren’t going to do anything about in season.

What the coaches can do is help get a few decent looka. They are failing here.

Don’t 100% disagree, but we also miss way too many wide open 3s.

Hey, we haven't really tried the Conditt/Jones hold it 20 feet away for a little bit. Let's keep it that way.
