Don't be such a box-score fan. Warren had far more big mistakes in this game than Sam. The WRs are just as comparable to their peers as Sam. Systemic failure, as it has been for most of CPR's tenure.

You are right, our QB is great. It's not our senior QB it's our freshman running back (who leads the nation in rushing by freshman).

Sam hasn't made huge mistakes, he just cannot consistently make even routine throws.

Some here WAY overrate our players. Other than maybe Lazard tonight, nobody on our team has imposed their will on equal or better players. Our "stud" players are average on almost every other B12 team.

It is telling you are that incapable of defending your contention. No one said Sam is great, or that it's our freshman RB.

Systemic failure.

It feels like we started with a nothing to lose attitude and then got conservative when we found ourselves in the game.

There also seem to be several plays every game where the play is there and we just can't hit an open receiver on a routine throw.

That sums it up pretty well.

The final score was about what I thought it would be. Now, next week has me really scared as I don't see any way we hold Baylor under 65.

Probably won't get nearly as many penalty yards against BU's secondary either, which will necessitate finding some other way to sustain drives...

Yep, I think Baylor is a far more rounded team than TCU this year and it's going to be much uglier, much earlier. I'm guessing 67-17.
