Am I the only one really pessimistic about this game? I am thinking 4 touchdowns pessimistic. I am old and have been let down so many times . . like going to Lawrence with the 5-0 Clones only to lose in 1980.

But I was pessimistic about the Iowa game too. What the hell, 26-18 Clones.

I wouldn't say I'm pessimistic, but I am a Cyclone fan, so I am a realist too. Anything could happen tonight. If we play like the Cyclones that beat Nebraska in Lincoln and beat Texas in Austin, we can win this thing.

If we play like the Cyclones that showed up against Utah last year, it could be over by halftime.

I've been around Cyclone football for WAY too long to think I know what's going to happen tonight. It could be anything.

Some people are going to have adult beverages, and some of those will have too much.

And ... CYCLONE FOOTBALL IS ON THE AIR!!!!!!!!!!!

We are going to have to play four damn good quarters to beat Texas. Having a pumped up fanatical crowd behind the Cyclones will be a great incentive.

Wow, I am watching College Game Day on ESPN and couldn't believe what I saw. In the background, among a sea of Wisconsin fans, someone was holding a sign with the EIU kittyhawk logo on it. Iowa does a great job of marketing by making sure at least one person is there with a sign or flag sent from the Alumni Association.

Our Alumni Association would be smart to start getting our brand out there too.

There was also a sign that said everyone here hates Iowa. Maybe that was our Alumni Association.
