We deserved to lose...this is what happens when a team gets sunshine up their ***...play any type of sports and you know what I'm talking about.

No passion tonight...we got murdered on the boards by a bad rebounding team...nobody played well tonight. Somebody besides SC and Royce need to step up big time on offense in the NCAA or we could be laughed off the court.

That is the most disappointing thing about this game. We had alot on the line and we acted like this was an exhibition game. I hope Fred learns a lesson to push guys extra hard leading up to the Big 12 Tourney next year...you could tell it was an easy week for them and Texas is too well coached for it not to count.

We will likely be an 8 or 9 seed now...Hopefully we draw Michigan St. or anybody besides Syracuse, Kentucky, and North Carolina in the second round if we make it.

If this is the effort we are going to bring for the NCAA, we might as well let the Rec All-Star team take their place.

I think we got too comfortable after we got up big in the second half, we let Texas gain some confidence and momentum on offense and that was all she wrote. Of course its easy to look back and say this in hind sight. Oh well were in the dance after what seems like forever, hopefully we come out determined after this loss.

And Barnes did outcoach Hoiberg. CFH is still learning, but one area where he seems to struggle is finding ways to break the momentum of other teams when they go on a run.

These kinds of statements make me tired. Glad you know how to out-coach the Big 12 COY!

I'm sorry if this offends, but if you have watched college basketball in the last, say 30 years, you will notice a trend. Teams that play hard and with passion get the calls. Teams that stand around and reach get called for questionable fouls. Happens every game, year after year.

We lost because we were too cool. No passion at all. Watch the Texas huddle and they were looking at each other, talking, eyes wide open. Watch our huddle, and guys just shuffled back to the sideline, guys looking away while Fred talked, noone even paying attention. As I said before, Fred needs to see that, pull the a guy, chew his ***, and make him watch until he is ready to go in and play hard.

And what happened to the inside out offense. We had a stretch this season when we won some games where the offense ran through Royce in the post. He got it, read the defense, and made a pass that lead points or to a pass that lead to points. Tonight, it was back to everyone standing around the 3 point line, pass it around, then someone casting up a 3. Disappointing. The only upside is we will be underdogs in our first round game, and maybe we play hard and cover.

Not offended, couldn't agree more. Kind of why I said "we played like we were entitled to win this game". No passion, looked like we thought we could walk in and flip the switch whenever and win. I think the refs were s*** in the first half and I don't think there is anything that will change my mind on that, but we could have and should have won in spite of that, but we didn't have the sack to work through any type of adversity. Mentally, we were not tough at all tonight.

Tough loss, but I'm not terribly disappointed. We deserved to lose that game. Texas took the game away from us. J'Covan Brown played like a man down the stretch, and we just turned the ball over way too many times down the stretch. Texas definitely should be in the NCAA tournament after the win tonight especially with what has happened around the country today. They outhustled us, outmuscled us, outplayed us in this game. Oh well time to prepare for the NCAA tournament. We are probably an 8 or a 9 seed at best right now.

So disappointed in our team tonight, how many fans went down to KC tonight to watch their team.... Spent lots of money to watch their team... Their team that hasn't showed up to the big 12 tourney since 2005.... Their team that is 3 hours away.... Their team which has reunited Hilton magic and Cyclone basketball.... Disappointed... WE ARE IOWA STATE PROVE IT....

The disturbing thing is, Texas isn't on the same level athletically or basketball wise. Not right now. And they beat our guys twice. They had a good game plan, similar to UNI's. I would not be surprised to see the same thing in the first round game, game plan wise. I hope our guys are ready for that, they should have known what was coming tonight, and yet they were not prepared. That is the only thing that bothers me, they knew what was coming.

I think they just thought Texas couldn't beat them, because really , Texas shouldn't be able to beat them right now. But that is what that age is like, and hopefully they learn from it, take a few days off, and recharge.

Fred just mentioned how awesome and special Selection Sunday is..."going back to when Johnny got into it with **** Vitale".

I remember that incident well ...it was awesome. Johnny talking about how he kicked Vitale's ars when Dicky was at Detroit and Orr was at Michigan.
