Jmo, but I think it's unfair to blame the OL for the lack of run game. We don't stick with it long enough for them to get into a rhythm. We've got to stick with it and get David established early and then the pass game will open up.

Not there yet.

Offense looked like CPR 2.0. Nothing established and nothing sustained.

Park was under pressure but his throws were way off regardless and the receivers are who they are.

This was the first game that ISU really looked outmanned in a while although the defense did their job for the most part.

Unless something crazy happens bowl chances are likely gone so that's a bummer.

On to Norman and what's the worst that can happen there?

Offense was as ugly as the uniforms and new logo, but the players and coaches should feel good because they like the ugly uniform look. Probably would have won if they wore all black

It's not like we were gashing them when we did run.

We weren't passing well either though. No need to abandon the run completely. DM got his yards when he had the chance. He's the type of runner that's gets 3, 3, 1, 1, then gets just a hair more space in the next one and goes for 20.

The biggest problem was Texas do didn't even have to worry about the run. It puts too much pressure on pass blocking.

Even with all that, Park was off, would running the ball some more hurt us in any way?

Welp. No bowl game this year I'm afraid. That was one of our more winnable games on the schedule. Would like to see some of our younger guys get some xp and touches (like David Montgomery).

Not giving up on that just yet, as last year the team improved dramatically over the course of Big 12 play. Certainly going to have to pull some upsets though.

I dont know if I should blame the playcalling or the O-line play more for the inept offensive playing. That being said...

If this is the worst game we play all season (which it almost has to be offensively at least), its still 10x better than our worst game last year of being blown out by Iowa and losing to UNI

Ever see the opening to Saving Private Ryan? That's what that game will be

Out of all the receivers I think Lazard had the best game. He didn’t drop anything at least.

I agree... he had a good game considering that a lot of balls were way off ... but I was talking about his off the field activities. I thought that late game jump ball was one that he doesn't often drop. My opinion is that this was a mental loss... The team can bounce back...

I always hoped I would never see a turd of a game like Seneca Wallace in OU in 2001 again......but.....man, it is going to be ugly. A big question I have after tonight is: Why?

Did I miss something?

Texas has done everything they could to let us win, and we refuse.

If you count Parks 5 rushes as passing plays (which they all were) then couning Montgomery 0/1 ISU threw 55 times and ran 10 times. They were never down more than 14 points and were never down more than 10 for almost the whole second half. ******* 55:10 pass/run ratio... 83% of the time in a close game where the other team has a completely inept offense (look at Texas' rushing stats)

We knew coming in their defense was their strength and offense was supposedly ours. They simply won that battle.
