Survive and advance, as they say, and let's see where it goes.

Hard to know what to expect vs. Tulsa. Two teams I think would be difficult matchups for ISU, South Carolina and Western Michigan, are now on the left side of the bracket.

SC would present a physicality problem (although they can't hit the broadside of a barn, so maybe it's even-steven).

WMU G Wilder is a popular choice for MAC POY, and Western has a lot of experience, could have posed a challenge vs. a roster still finding its rhythm.

This will be an interesting game - Tulsa is going to present a good challenge for ISU. Hopefully, the defense will tighten up a bit. At least they played a fun, open style on Thursday.

Great to see the guys gain a little confidence last night. While there are still a lot of things to work on, the teamwork improved and the flow was much better.

I'm wondering if we'll see a little less of Brase tonight? I'd love for him to be able to go another 20+ minutes, but you certainly don't want to push it either.

Agreed. Giving up 96 points was less than ideal but they made some progress on offense and got a W. All we can ask is that they keep improving on something every game.

How much Brase plays will be something to watch for. Gotta think there's some soreness today. I trust them to play it smart with him. It will be a little easier to limit his minutes if Solomon can stay out of foul trouble.

They did thus the left seed of bracket comment. Side note their fans are pretty friendly and knowledgeable. The 2 guys we walked into the gym with actually knew who ISU was and were very grateful for their final four run last year.

Need something from Wiggington and Jackson. NWB can't keep up those minutes in back to backs.

Love what I saw from our guy yesterday. Progress... baby steps... First and foremost, Cam Lard is a grown ass man. Nick Babb took over the game when needed and Don Jackson took advantage of the opportunities he was presented (3’s and free throws). Lindell did what Lindell is going to do for however long he is in Ames and I love it. Brings an element to this team we have never had in the Hoiball/Prohman era before. Solo will benefit from Lard’s presence ALOT moving forward. All we can ask for out of Beverly/Talley is solid consistent minutes and the rest should take care of itself. I loved what I saw yesterday, and there is still lots of room to improve but a 104 point outing was the shot in the arm a hungry CyclONEnation needed..

The talent on our roster is clearly there to win this game handily. However, it's all the little things we haven't quite figured out yet that will make it close.

And HUGE bummer we have the same announcers as last night....

Hopefully we’ll see some improved defense. Especially when defending the drive. If they correct that, we’ll really start seeing some progress.
