First tournament game under Fred where we didn't dominate both halves of the first game. Pretty crazy how good we were the last few years in the first round (or 2nd whatever you want to call it)
We didn't dominate the first half of the NC Central game last season. We were only up 6 at half then.

This isn't because ISU is playing bad.

Right now, UAB is better, and this isn't a thing where ISU's just going to be have to come out and simply kick it up a notch to win handidly.

Please tell me you just didn't post the :jimlad: and you're really not this stupid...

I'm confident we will figure our stuff out and win the game but... this game smells like our game at Tech. Came in too confident, "saw UAB on the jersey" and thought it wouldn't even be close. I'm sure Hoiberg is not a happy guy right now. Need Niang to play all 20 in the second half.

Until we show wee can handle a zone defense every coach in the tournament is going to play zone! It has worked for UAB, 9 turnovers and 9 offensive rebounds by UAB, most important they are making better choices. Disappointing!

Re: This Team plays brain dead for spurts

McKay is really awful offensively under the basket, unfortunately.

GUYS! WE ARE DOWN BY 3!!! IT'S NOT THAT EFFING BAD!!!

IF THE TEAM LOST THEIR **** EVERY TIME THEY GOT DOWN BY ONE POSSESSION THEY WOULD NEVER WIN ANY GAMES!!

I don't think anyone thinks that we cannot comeback and find a way to win.

It's that we all know the team we see in the 2nd half is capable of showing up in the 1st half, but doesn't. I highly doubt ISU is going to be able to win a NC if they are down at half or by double digits EVERY game.

UAB deserves to be up, but there is no reason why we couldn't have a 10 point lead. We aren't rebounding, we aren't taking great shots, and we are blaming the refs. To me, all that is inexcusable and must be corrected or Cyclone Nation could become less interested in this year's tournament very quickly, possibly by the end of this weekend.

Hard to get to the final 4 when you loose the first game. Where is all that intensity and effort that we heard about all week?

ISU basketball is like groundhog day. I'd actually be worried if they were ahead at halftime or not trailing in the second half at some point.
