UConn 14-27 overall FGs and 3FGs.
ISU 9-28

Can't blame the refs for this one. Our guys are bothered by their shot blocking. Gotta get past the fear and start putting the ball in the bucket or the season ends tonight.

I appologize for my Bubu thread, just thought we needed the defense. Didn't know it would strike a bad vibe with CW.

Not trying to be a whiner, but Ejim was miserable around the rim that half. He's shown flashes of being amazing around the rim, and he's shown flashes like the first half where he has been inept. If he gets hoping we will be fine. 10 points is nothing over 20 minutes

The problem is we don't take midrange shots, so the bigs hold tight under the basket and immediately crash when the ball is delivered and Ejim is getting no looks. They are guarding close on the perimeter, daring us to take mid range shots. Either we start making perimeter shots to keep us close, or we start taking and making mid range jumpers to draw the bigs out more.

Uconn is probably the most talented team we will have faced this year not considering a healthy KU team. Napier is freaking money. I hope that doesn't last.

We are mentally tougher than these guys and we are very capable of getting the W. Ejim and/or Kane is going to need to be much more prevalent in terms of scoring and our bench players need to be a factor on offense.

Pretty sure UConn would have a lot more than 36 points if they were 21-39 from the field.

I don't think our defense is that bad. These guys are putting everything they throw up. We need to start going up strong instead of these soft shots around the basket. Morris,Hogue and Kane are keeping us in it so far. Luckily no one in foul trouble.

Given that stat, our defense is doing pretty well holding them to 36 points.

Someone has to start hitting from 3, whether it is Kane, Melvin, Morris, Naz, or everyone. We need some threes to pick up or spirit and get back in this game.
