I think SDW will be the next Long. The potential is there for him, but he need to be coached up for a while

Enjoyable game. This team has loads of talent. I am looking forward to this season already. Beginning to believe we have a chance to beat some good teams even without Ejim. I am wondering what happens when we come up against a decent defensive team. I think we might end up being as good or better offensively than last year. We obviously could stand some defensive improvement still.

One exception would be Heft's comment when Naz was out of bounds when we passed it to him. That was pretty classic.

Yeah....I loved that...then the silence from JW...with a chuckle and "uh----yeah" keeping it professional, but acknowledging the fb reference.

Just a random thought I had watching the game. I know it was a "sellout" (in true carver style), but obviously lots of open seats in the upper deck and lower deck.

1. I know they used to the upper deck folks fill in the lower deck on games like that, kinda wish they still did that (but with Hoiball, many more folks always in lower deck).

2. I wish there was a way to easily give tickets away. I just think of the many folks locally would would LOVE to check out a Cyclones game and would go to the game. I know it was not a marque match-up, but I still remember my first game at Hilton was a non-conf game in high school and it was still great. Again, not a huge deal, but you'd hope people would have a way to easily get someone to go to a game for free.

I know it was only the first game, but again like last year if we are not hitting our three's (at least 40%) every game will be a grind in the big twelve, but again only first game.
