Jamaica is sitting really deep with their back 2 lines of 4. I think we're going to need Dempsey to come in to create something in that mess of players. Even if it's just drawing a foul in an advantageous spot.

Having to mark Nagbe would be the most infuriating job in the world. You're not going to get the ball off of him, you just have to try to stay between him and the goal and hope he doesn't fly by you and make you look stupid.

I just wanted to post to say that every time this comes up in "Recent Threads" I imagine that it's the ***Official US [Mutant Ninja Turtles] Thread***.

Like, of course they can't be teenagers forever...

Glad Morris got redemption from his defensive lapse. Arena has this team on a roll... it's crazy to think how much of an afterthought Klinsmann is at this point.

Quality win for our boys. Must admit I fell asleep from a couple Stone IPAs and a long day but my 15 minutes of highlight review gave me the thrills. Don't know that that redeems me but I'm excited to see where we go from here. Arena seems to know how to push these guys in a spot where maybe Klinsmann didn't. I love my team. Anyone want to project their expectations for 18 cup? I have a feeling that we can make a respectable run next year based on promising youth and a healthy stable of veterans. Would be remiss if I decided to not mention Pulisic here.

Are you sure about that? I remember watching this team after JK had been the coach for awhile and thinking these guys look a lot more skilled now than before. Isn't it possible that JK did a lot to elevate the play of the team, but had simply plateau'd?

That's exactly what happened. I didn't mean to imply he didn't accomplish anything, because he certainly did & I think he definitely left the team in a better spot than when he took over. With this 14 match unbeaten streak Arena has us on, it's been easy to move on from Klinsmann in my opinion.
