We need to get that ugly 4-0 taste out of our mouth with Costa Rica.

POS. TEAM W D L GD. PTS
1. Mexico 4 2 0 7 14
2. Costa Rica 3 2 1 5 11
3. USA 2 2 2 3 8
4. Panama 1 4 1 0 7
5. Honduras 1 2 3 -8 5
6. Trinidad and Tobago 1 0 4 -6 3

So we finish with Costa Rica, @Honduras, Panama, @Trinidad and Tobago. I think if we can get 7 points out of those 4 games, we should be sitting pretty.

Chandler is usually terrible when he plays for the national team.

And Williams has never really impressed either.

right, but even a bad chandler is better than a good zusi, or DMB. Danny Williams has never really been given a chance, hell Acosta has gotten more run than he has (i know I know, but true).

I don't know, I think I trust Zusi and Beasley at this point with the national team than Chandler. Even though Chandler is usually pretty damn good for his club.

And I would like to see Williams get some more chances. Especially since we are still searching for a midfield partner for Bradley.

Let me first say that I'm all for getting Danny Williams back into the player pool. I watched a couple of his matches for Reading last spring in their promotion playoffs and he looked really, really good.

Now, I think there's a legitimate debate to be had about where Arena rates Williams. I'm afraid that the answer to that might be that he really doesn't rate him all that highly. I think if Bruce was curious about him he would have included him in the early stages of the Gold Cup over the summer.

Given all that, I will say that even if Arena was inclined to get a look at Williams he shouldn't call him in for this camp. Yes, Danny is on a Premier side in Huddersfield this year, but he's made 2 appearances in their first three matches and both of those appearances have been as a sub. I think he's really in for a serious fight to get into one of their center mid spots. So far this season Huddersfield has played Aaron Mooy, an Australian international, who they signed from Man City after a loan year and Philip Billing, a 21-year old Danish youth international, who has been with the club since 2013. Taking a spot from one of those guys is going to be a difficult proposition and calling Williams into this camp to sit on the bench behind Bradley isn't going to do him any favors in his club situation. The US is better off letting Danny stay in England and hopefully wrestle some of that starting XII PT into his favor.

A 27 yr old Dom Dwyer is not the future. Now Julian Green might be

Julian Green is not the future lol. He has hasn't done anything since his goal vs Belgium. At this point, Dwyer has more of a future with the national team. And he is even at most 5th on our depth chart.

The striker of the future is Josh Sargent.

Also, Zusi has looked pretty good so far.

He really has. And I'm usually not a fan of the Zusi at RB experiment. But he's been solid defensively and has played some really nice passes behind CRs backline to unlock some attacks.
