The 23 man roster for the Paraguay has been released. Aron Johannson was a part of the original roster but pulled out due to a injury. Replaced by Kekuta Manneh

GOALKEEPERS (3): Alex Bono (Toronto FC/CAN; 0/0), Bill Hamid (Midtjylland/DEN; 5/0), Zack Steffen (Columbus Crew SC; 1/0)

DEFENDERS (8): Cameron Carter-Vickers (Ipswich Town/ENG; 1/0), Eric Lichaj (Nottingham Forest/ENG; 14/1), Matt Miazga (Vitesse/NED; 4/1), Shaq Moore (Levante/ESP; 0/0), Erik Palmer-Brown (Kortrijk/BEL; 0/0), Antonee Robinson (Bolton Wanderers/ENG; 0/0), Jorge Villafaña (Santos Laguna/MEX; 15/0), DeAndre Yedlin (Newcastle United/ENG; 49/0)

MIDFIELDERS (8): Tyler Adams (New York Red Bulls; 2/0), Marky Delgado (Toronto FC/CAN; 0/0), Kekuta Manneh (Pachuca/MEX; 0/0)*, Weston McKennie (Schalke/GER; 1/1), Darlington Nagbe (Atlanta United FC; 24/1), Cristian Roldan (Seattle Sounders FC; 2/0), Kenny Saief (Anderlecht/BEL; 1/0), Wil Trapp (Columbus Crew SC; 3/0), Tim Weah (Paris Saint-Germain/FRA; 0/0)

FORWARDS (3): Andrija Novakovich (Telstar/NED; 0/0), Rubio Rubin (Club Tijuana/MEX; 4/0), Bobby Wood (Hamburg/GER; 36/10)

I need to make a correction, you cannot cap tie a guy from a friendly, derp.

Sarachen has been extended until June, still a interim manager. It's because there should be a plethora of coaches available by then.

Also NASL's antitrust lawsuit has been extended to include MLS and USSF. Something to look out for probably. (These are over Pro League Standards which decide which league is what division)

Tonight is the first time I've been able to stomach even watching the team since the WC debacle. Hoping to see some positive things from the young guys.

So, I was just trying to watch this match. This has been difficult to watch. The odd man rush at the end notwithstanding, it looks like terrible soccer to me. I see Wood, I see Yedlin, but that's got to be a B team out there, right?

But I am nowhere close to an expert. Am I way off base here?

It's a largely developmental squad. Since we failed to qualify for the WC, there's really no point in trotting out guys like Dempsey, Bradley, etc. They will all be well past their prime/retired by 2022. So we're giving the young guys a chance to play with hopes it pays off next cycle.

That makes perfect sense. So what I need to be doing is showing my patience, and cheering on the guys who are wearing the jersey, even if I don't have a clue who they are? :)

Hmm, sounds a lot like 2017-2018 Cyclone basketball. I can do this.

There's a good update from Grant Wahl on the US partaking in Copa America next year. If we were to, we'd likely send a B team (Mainly MLS/Liga MX guys) while we use an A Team for the Gold Cup

The reason why is because this is an official CONMEBOL (South America's organization) tournament, meaning that clubs can deny to send players since we are outside of CONMEBOL. That is not the case for the Gold Cup, which is our own federation's tournament.

Both tournaments are official tournaments so we can cap tie basically anyone we want then. (Also it seems like Copa America is taking place concurrently with the Gold Cup probably)

For the May friendly vs Bolivia looks like Pulisic and Sargent will be called up for it.

Also word of friendlies with Brasil and Mexico.

There's word of a England away at Wembley in November but it's not quite official yet.

I'm pretty sure the US already has matches lined up in June with Ireland and France in Europe to go along with that Bolivia friendly. And Italy has already announced that we will be playing them in November as well.

We will not be at Copa America next year, Mexico isn't either but Japan and Qatar will..

Like I've mentioned before, it's not like we would be able to send our best team to it anyway because it's not our regional tournament

So today was the last day for Bundesliga and woof, woof, woof.

It was not Bobby Wood's day.

First he was sent off in the 71st and then Hamburger SV, his club, got relegated.

I don't plan on going out of my way to watch the WC games. If one is on & I'm free I'll watch, otherwise I'm not too interested.
