Giorgios looked like he suffered from lack of confidence. Still had a pretty good 1st college American basketball game though. I really think he's gonna be good once he gets some confidence. Excellent ft shooter

Well, I think we know what is holding SDW back from getting more playing time....

in the post game press conference Fred was asked how he thought SDW did? Fred said, "except for the first 5 drives of the 2nd half where his guy blew right by him I think he did pretty good.".

I've never really concentrated on SDW on the defensive end, but that must really be his weakness, huh?
I watched him specifically a lot and he was absolutely terrible on defense.

Here nor there
He missed a bunch of bunnies is what he meant. He missed a couple of fairly easy shots pretty badly. He's a joy to watch though.

Even with the missed bunnies, I thought he looked improved. His game is not going to fundamentally change, but he may be better at the "finisher" role and getting garbage buckets.
IMO he filled the McKay role tonight, although we all hope McKay has a little better touch.

it's hard to be nitpicky when the other team is basically a little better version of CF Pickup. The fans will know more about the team next Friday. It seems to me SDW could be a beast on defense but gets brainfarts on defense and lacks some fundamentals. I like him as a player more than Thomas but that's probably just me.

Definitely just you. Even if you want to call them a push on offense (I personally think Thomas is better, and that's why he played much more last year) he's better on defense. And that's saying something, because his defense, while better than expected, wasn't lockdown by any stretch of the imagination.

Naz is gonna be a damn good player this year. If only I could get some 3zus of Nazareth T Shirts....if only someone had a direct link in their signature of some sick Naz T shirts.

Not the time for shameless self promotion? Gotchya

Gonna be a hell of a year gents, this team is LOADED!

Naz is going to have an enormous year. I think his confidence level has gone to the next level. Intrigued by a morris.thomas.long.nader.niang lineup. All of those guys are dead eye shooters that'd put some serious stress on a defense.

That may happen but I'll guarantee you're going to see that one with Bryce switched in for Thomas.

I thought SDW would be chomping at the bit to show what he could do but defensively it was like he was playing CPL ball. If that was him actually trying then he won't play...Fred noticed. He may have been overconfident because it was such a mismatch but I expected more from a guy begging for minutes.

Does anyone else want to see BDJ do the posed hand behind the head dunk at Kansas when they visit Hilton?

I'm personally not a fan of the show boating, but if Fred is ok with it, that's all I care about.

I couldn't even fully understand what happened live as I saw it, just that I had a sense that it was REALLY AWESOME. Then this still photo verified my instincts.

Fred did sub him out right after he did it.

I don't think Fred cares. If BDJ is getting is getting steals that lead to break away dunks, as long as he puts it in the basket, I could care less what showboating he does. In fact, the more the better. I want Hilton to be rockin' and I'm sure Fred does too.
