The problem is that whatever positive contribution he might make would be offset by the potential for becoming a distraction. Even in his last season with the Niners he couldn't help himself. Remember when he complained about his role in the offense on Media Day the week before the Super Bowl?
Randy Moss is one of those rare athletes (Shaq is another) who, for as great as their career numbers were, you felt like they left a lot on the table.

Dolphins just handed the game to the Lions, three weeks after handing the game to the Packers. All on the coaching. He's ******* awful. Can't wait for the end of the year so he gets fired. Has no ******* clue how to manage a game.
Well give the Lions just a little bit of credit. They only have the best defense in the league and Stafford has only made a career of making these kinds of comebacks - and it's the third straight game they've done this to their opponent.

A) Can't go three and out
B) Call two timeouts up three with the clock running and less than 1:20 left
C) Throw the ball in the middle of the field with 0:30 left and down 4 when you just called your final 2 timeouts while your defense was trying to stop the Lions offense without the ******* timeouts.
Maybe Philbin can be our offensive coordinator next year. He's a great coach when he doesn't have to ******* look at a clock.
Seriously, I've only been this level of ****** while watching Dolphins football once before, and that was earlier this year when Philbin gave the Packers the win. What a ******* joke of a head coach. Marino won't have any of this **** during the offseason. Playoffs or not, Philbin won't be leading the Dolphins next year.
