I hope so, that game at Oklahoma was one we had a legit shot to win. I think we come out better in our next game against them.

Agreed. You have to think they got that particular game circled on the schedule for revenge factor reasons. I think we clobber em'.

Our next game against Oklahoma will be a flogging in Hilton. I'll bet the estate on it..
I think we will have some big wins upcoming. I just have a feeling that we will have a game, or two, where we just don't play our best for whatever reason. I hope I'm wrong. We still have a very high potential.

It is a long season. How we maintain our intensity, and how good our endurance is, will be huge in the stretch run.

I'm not sure what your weird vibes were, but I suspect they were similar to mine. As in, this is a game that the Cyclones might lose in the last two years. But our versatility this year really helped us. Pav gave us good minutes, and the seniors led we we needed them most.

When watching WV they looked like that erratic team that could make things weird against anyone even if they were down 20.

In contrast, ISU is good but still needs to be sharp to beat teams with a pulse.

And in late February on, basketball season gets wild like November for football.

It was a perfect recipe for weirdness but, it worked out.

This was the particular game I was most worried about. I'm not Nostradomus, but I think we protect home court along with winning in Orlando, and dropping one in Manhatten, KS. That particular game may be more important for them. Just my slant on things.

Missed the game due to travel. Listened to Eric and John for maybe the last 4 min or so.

We played like ass for us for 3/4ths of the game. Foul trouble didn’t help. Weird game but found a way again led by defense. Did I miss anything?

ZRF might be on vacation again.

It's nice to be able to win when you don't have your A game, and facing that much zone may pay dividends in March. I'm not surprised we looked a little hungover after that rock fight in Houston.

They had me a little nervous at the 9 minute mark but we found a way to ratchet up our defense and get the ball inside.... a couple things that went AWOL for the previous 10 minutes. An ugly win is better than a pretty loss. Let's send Boomer to the SEC with a memory of their last L in Hilton.

Aka temp banned?

Maybe. Not sure. They were spouting the same weirdness and then poof, nothing.

And ISU won so we know they would be lighting this thread up right now.

Pav and BRE both looked like incredible assets so it’s wellness check zone.
Yeah they both played really well today. BRE was good attacking the rim, and making things hard on WV on def. Pav hit shots and saved our butt.

Our top 8 each scored 6+ points. Lipsey did a very good job during the 14-0 run of feeding the big men. Lipsey finished with 14 points and 6 assists. C. Jones and Pav must be the best guards off the bench in the country.
