I dont think it's coaching. Jones is a senior who's played in the program for 2 years previously. The 3 things I've noticed the most is his body transformation (more chiseled...athletic looking), footwork, and playing within himself. Those particular things scream more hard work and film study on his part than coaching, not that coaching hasn't played some factor.
The dude literally went from the WORST player buy a country mile in conference play to a top 30 performer. That kind of jump, given the circumstances, is pretty much unheard of. McCullar took a jump but most of that was shooting and aggressiveness. If he wins conference MIP it would be a damned shame. Jones should win it running away.
