Don't you wanna go play for a coach that other college and NFL teams wanted yet he's stayed loyal.
Good point, but I’m more concerned about how other coaches will try to use this against him. “Son, you don’t want to go to Iowa State! You know their coach is gonna be gone as soon as he gets an NFL offer! Heck, he’s already interviewing to get outta there!” (Or something like that.) ,

Best of luck to the Bears, and their fans, if they hire Matt. He would not make a good NFL head coach at all IMO. College football is his wheelhouse. Molding 18-22 year olds into grown mature men. Teaching the game, and also life's lessons.

i am more worried he decides to go back to D3 Mount Union. The Bears are an awful fit too. i would be more concerned about the Steelers or Browns.

Yes I am. Just a very concerned Cyclones fan.

An actual fan, wouldn't refer to himself as a "very concerned Cyclones fan". On an Iowa State message board it is assumed you are a "Cyclones" fan. I smell a rat.

Before you hire any coach.....watch how they handle the final 60 seconds before the half in a couple seasons worth of games.

I am the biggest forever true son ever! I bleed red and yellow! I remember when Bobby Orr coached and we won the Big 8! I remember when Bruce Earl was here and we beat Ohio State. We carried the goal posts to Lincoln Street and threw it into Lake Jules Verne. I was old school when old school wasn't cool.

A. Matt Campbell is a capable head coach who knows how to establish a winning culture.

B. The Bears hire coaches who do not know how to establish a winning culture, and are not particularly concerned with capability in deciding the job.

Therefore, Matt Campbell will not be head coach of the Chicago Bears.

Take it to the bank. It's logic.

They could have been saying that for nearly the past decade and we just had our most successful season ever.

I wouldn't know any better (not a D1 football recruit!) but I doubt it's much of a factor. The coach leaving is a possibility at the great majority of programs, regardless of if they are on the NFL radar or not.

Was that game still at Clive Williamson Field?
